I love that cart and how you have set it up. I also have a back problem, mine was caused by having twins 28 years ago just over, apparently they were laid funny when inside me. I had them early because my Dad passed away and put me in shock. I was 6 and a half months one was 4lb 12 and one was 4lb 8. So its probably a good thing I had them early. Xx

As you're putting the cart together, I'm getting excited along with you. LOL
I lucked into an electric Big Shot. found a three tiered wicker cart in my favorite color. I put a heavy cutting board on top. I also store my lesser used plates under it. You will love it!
It's those little things that make the difference.

I use the wooden lids (Hogsma) that IKEA makes to fit atop the metal baskets of the Raskog cart. As of the date of this posting, they each cost $10. I keep my Spellbinder Platinum 6 on the top shelf, and my Anna Griffith on the second. I store extra plates and stuff in the baskets under the shelves. I keep actively used cutting plates along with my mini die cutting machine in the third basket. I do have to catch the plates as they come off each machine. And I do have to feel for the buttons of the Anna Griffith with it being on the second shelf. However, I could lower the middle basket a bit to make seeing the buttons easier.
Just found you with this video. Loved it. Not sure this cart would work for me, but I have a cart I have to revisit to see if I can use for die cutting. Great idea! Crazy comment, but I really enjoyed the music you used during the assembly. 😊

Ask your husband to mount the top on drawer glides so you can slide it back and reach the plates underneath it.

I’m so excited for you to find a cart that works for your needs especially with your back problems. With the lid on the top I would think that should be a drawer so you can access it a lot easier just my thinking anyway happy crafting.

'Solid five minutes'.. lol, so true finger, toe and knee!! Can you measure the distance from the bottom of cutting plate slit to the top of the topper board - table top? I would like to know when I run a die through my Big Shot Plus will the bar catch my plate as well. I'm Canadian and the price of this cart will be an investment! Ouch. Tyfs :D
Love it when something unplanned comes together. That cart is awesome! I am SURE you will find another use for the ikea cart. I have a Target knock off cart, now I am going to see if I can at least flip the top basket over to house my die cut machine.
Thank you so much. I use Raskog carts a lot in my studio. I will tell you that you can get a topper for your raskog now on ikea it’s called Hogsma. I use my ikea cart for my die cutting machine but I ordered this one because I do like that plate solving bar!! Thank you.

Oh my goodness. It’s even worth it with shipping from USA to Canada. So thankful…this will be an answer to my needs also. Only flaw is wish you could get into area below my empress-it would be great if it was a drawer…but one step at a time.
I agree. A drawer would be nice. But I really do love this and plan to just store back up stuff there that I don't need to get to regularly.
I bought a bathroom cart at Walmart for $14. It didn't come with a platform on top, which I didn't want anyway, but it works just as well as these carts.

Hi Wendy, love this cart and may have to get one! Quick question: I mostly run my plates through the Anna Griffith the other way from which you showed (landscape instead of portrait). Would the bar still catch them? Thanks so much!
I like how you found a change that works. My spine is fused as well, so I totally understand the height and not bending. I think your other cart could be handy for rolling your Spellbinders machine for rolling your glimmer plate through. Does the Anna Griffen machine work with the Glimmer plates for rolling it through? If so, you are set.
Hi Lisa, Thank you so much for commenting. No the Better Press and foil plates won't go through the Anna Griffin. I have my old SU machine for that.

Great ideas, i have the better Press( never used) hot foil machine ect where I don’t see them. Might use them if can see them.

I wonder how a manual die cutting machine would do? So excited you found an inexpensive solution! Not sure if I will keep my SU machine. Definitely will keep my Gina K IntraCut! Her new magnetic platform is on the way. 😂

What size Anna Griffin machine do you use? Is it the big one? And do you find it is better than the other electric die cutting machines?
Yes the big machine. And yes I find it’s the best electric machine I’ve used. But it’s only downside is it doesn’t do 3D embossing.
