M&P soap base from scratch is easy and economical. Because it is made with Sodium Hydroxide & alkali salt from fatty acid. It is true soap define by Food & drug administration. Many commercial melt & pour soap product are made from surfactant and are not a true soap.
☝️✌😅 Please accept my apologizes for not use proper protective equipment for this video. I just want to share to you on how i make the MP soap just for my personal use..ONLY!!
🙋♂️ For beginner please use proper equipment and a knowledge on how to handle Lye/sodium hydroxide.
👨🏭 All ingredients must be heat up in microwave first/Hot solution
👨🔬 This formulation self preserve there is no need to add preservative
🙇♂️ Any types of Alcohol can be use from isopropyl alcohol to denatured alcohol. The smell of alcohol will disappear once it cool down.
Transparent Glycerin Soap Base for melt & pour
♥️ SLS, SLES free
♥️ Paraben free
♥️ Preservative free
♥️ Triethanolamine TEA free
♥️ Ph 7 (Natural Ph)
♥️ Mercuri Free
Ingredients:
280g Organic Coconut Oil
120g Stearic Acid
68.4g Lye
68.4g Distiller Water
68.4g Vegetable Glycerin USP
360g Propylene Glycol
280g Denatured Alcohol 95%
400g Sorbitol Solution 70%
Preparation time: 45-60 minutes
Temperature setting: medium heat

i just dissolved organic soaps being sold in drugstores,added French lavender oil ,and Kose facial wash and grated oaks using a blender for my 6 y/o niece’s school project last summer.her teacher was ecstatic and became lovely after using it everyday and she asked for the formula but i told her it’s corporate secret i’m now stuck with making her soaps pro bono.
Japanese people takes warm baths at night i added lavender oil for relaxation and good sleep.now it’s me who lacks sleep while my niece’s teacher and co-teachers are having radiant,beautiful skin.they send me gifts,anyways.it’s bad manners to accept money from them,my Mum said so.

Thank you for sharing!! I did and it worked very well! It gets a bit soft, but then I used the base few days after- melted, added colour and essential oils, and didn't add any water, so it was perfectly hard.

I’m so excited I came across your videos. Thank you for sharing all that you have. Question: if I wanted to add things like goat’s milk, shea butter, honey how much would you recommend I add and would I do that in the beginning when the coconut is melted? I know this would affect the Lye concentration as well so I would have to account for that.

She added the glycerin to the lye solution after the sodium hydroxide is completely dissolved.

But one thing is missing you didn't mention about the temperature. What should be the range of temperature at each stage of the procedure

hi sorry for jump in, trying to answer your question: so it need to dilute 70% sugar and 30% water, if you want to make 400g sorbitol solution 70%: Dilute 280g sugar with 120g water

One of the best videos I've seen so far for clear melt and pour soap. Just one question, is it OK to add fragrance, or should I do this when I make my soap art?
adding some fragrances may cause cloudiness
For 280g coconut oil, the lye must be 65.6 not 68.4
What is denatured Alcohol
Beautiful transparency. The only thing is the PH, it cannot be 7. Putting the ph strip on the lather only will give you a false reading.
Hi, so how should it be done? I'm assuming that would be for any hot method soap made, right? Not to test the bubbles.
@@ladamadenadie1658 Hi, the best way to test the PH is to dissolve some soap in distilled water, 1 part soap to 10 parts of water, the reading should be taken when this solution is at room temperature. I can be done for cold processed soap and for hot process. :) I hope you took my comment the right way, I did not mean to criticize. It's just that true soap for its nature is always alkaline.

My soap base is mild in yellowish color but it is ok with me. I have try a few sample before and realize if the oil+lye phase did not cook until translucent stage will cause cloudiness & yellowish color. And make sure to use medium to low heat and not to burn the soap or otherwise it will turn brown yellowish.tq and congratulation for making the soap😍
