I, unironically, enjoy watching Ghostrick games now because I spent nearly an hour, 32 turns, against a Ghostrick deck. I won in the end but DAMN was it close.
yup, there's lack of supports in the game, able to make direct attack still wont make this deck good, but thankfuly some of ghostrick has good handtrap, and ghostrick doll is my fav one.
The mansion field spell takes some of the sting out of the direct attacks. But yeah you have to know when to put up the field spell. If you've got the battle fader type cards in hand, then it's fine. But otherwise, you're taking a lot of damage you didn't need to.
@@SheldonDarianRoach I think it's more a position of flexibility. When the deck first came out, the odds of getting blown up turn 3 was pretty low. So you could drop mansion turn 1, take a few hits until you had your control board up and then you lock the opponent while you poked them to death after a few turns. Now you've gotta be smart when you're field spell drops. Keep it in hand until you're ready to swing for game and force the opponent to attack your set monsters that often have vital flip effects. It's a tough balancing act for sure. And the additional of link monsters makes it tougher with them ignoring most of ghost tricks control tools. MR 6 where links can be set in face up attack please!

Even though "Ghostrick" isn't mentioned in the text of "Jack-In-The-Hand" the ones who use the latter must only use it in a deck made up of "Ghostricks" being that in the artwork of the card r "Jackfrost, Lantern, and Specter"; but today on "September 9" I dueled against someone who used it in a deck made up of "Floowandereezes".
Ironically jack in hand is pretty bad in ghostricks as many of the level 1s act as battle faders and your opponent gets to pick which to add to their hand first. It works better in level 1 decks that don't have useful effects outside their archetypes like floo, or lyrilusc.

Same but it was a lp gain mill deck and i lost to them drawing that opponent discard 5 draw 5 trap so yeah not too fun
