I totally agree that itâs so hard to find ceramic pots with drainage holes. Love that those pots also come with the plugs!

Those pots are so unique! I just got a baby Begonia maculata from my Great Auntâs plant, which Iâm extra happy to have because she passed away very unexpectedly last year, and it feels special to carry on part of her plant. I miss her a lot. (The propagation came from my Uncle, who prunes it for her).
Iâm also happy that the heating season is over cos itâs way too hard to be on top with moisturising both plants and my own skin lol

Sp silver is a climber and the Colombia is a crawler. Sp silver like yours is way rarer. And here in europe ist impossible to find. I want this one soooo bad đ đą

I love ceramic pots like those because they retain moisture but also are really beautiful!
idk if anyone else mentioned this but i didn't see it so i hope i'm not beating a dead horse but when you're finished watering the plants you should put the silicone plug back into the hole from the bottom. it will stop any drips and is a convenient place to keep the plug safe in case you use the pot as a cover pot in the future (:

My begonia is growing in pon.. but Iam nervous.. LOVE those pots. I just went to dollarama to get some googly eyes, gems and wooden butterflies to decorate my boring pots. I also just ordered both of those pots đđđđ

Hey Fern, I think you have an sp silver. The sp Colombia is a different plant. I bought sp Colombia at the open day of Ecuagenera in Germany a couple of weeks ago. I paid âŹ40 for quite a big crawler plant. The sp silver was âŹ190 for a small climbing plant. So because of that huge price difference and the difference in growth pattern (and the foliage looks a bit different) I think they are seperate species. Both gorgeous! I really want the sp silver one dayđ

something that helps me pot my plants in the center of the pot, instead of filling one side first and then the next (when backfilling), go back and forth a bit at a time on each side and it helps keep things centered!! â€

I love the pottery and your amazing plants you potted in them. I love collecting pottery and know the feeling of hunting down quality pottery planters with proper drainage holes. I ended up giving up and picked up some diamond hole saws used in masonry that fit in a drill. Lol The saws work very easy so long as you keep it in water while you're drilling the hole.
I'll definitely be going to check out the Grave pottery.

Have you had any troubles with sol soils? @plantswithmissa has had mold a long the sides of her plants. Sheâs pulled some out and there is a network of mold all around the sides of the pulled out it. You should check yours.
Iâve never used Sol Soils. I donât think itâs available in Canada đ€

Apparently some crawl and some climb. Iâve heard people say âsp silverâ is a climber and âsp colombiaâ is a crawler, even though they look the same. I have no idea what is correct, but I have mine climbing. I am actually suspecting that it is a crawler though, just based on how itâs vining. When I chop it I may try to grow it crawling.

Non plant question but a question about the pots. Theyâre made from bone china which is derived from bone ash. As a vegan does that not feel weird to support? Im plant based myself and think these pots are beautiful but finding out that theyâre made from animal products when they really donât have to be, turned me right off.
