I didn't expect an interview with the legendary barrister Khaminwa, SC, to end without the journalist asking him about his personal and professional experiences in the ground-breaking SM Otieno case.

A decade is 10 years so saying Snr Counsel Khaminwa has practised close to 3 decades is misleading. Did he start practising when he was 50? No.

Why do I think that the modern day Kenyan leadership is worse than the mzungu leadership? Look! Mzungu arrived and found not a single road. There were only footpaths where livestock following to the river and there only open air markets where people were doing barter trade. There was not a single permanent structure in the country other than the remnants of the Portuguese activities at the Coast. It's time to probe the history once again and attempt to separate facts from lies or distortions.

@@Diasporamedia23you’re absolutely right. I grew up in Makadara in Nairobi before Independence and wazungus were thinkers. To mitigate the lack of toilet sewage, they had installed big containers in toilets which collected our bowel movements and around 7 O’clock every night, “churas” would come and physically haul the stinking mess away. Diseases such as kipindupindu or typhoid were alien words.
