    15:28 Find The Winning Continuation (puzzle) solution:
    Qe2 to prevent black going Qxh8.
    If Qe2, Qxh8 anyhow; then, Qxe7+ capturing black's dark square Bishop, and Kg8 is forced.
    Qe7+ is a royal skewer, and black's move Kg7 is forced.
    Re7+, Kh6 is forced.
    Qxh8 capturing black's (unprotected) Queen.

    • @GMIgorSmirnov
      @GMIgorSmirnov  Před 3 lety +20

      Actually, the best continuation is Nd5, attacking the e7-bishop. If Black takes the knight, then the White queen comes into the play with Qxd5+ and then Qxa8. Check out the PGN for complete analysis - bit.ly/3fMVKBE

    Option 1: Nd5 and if cxd5, then Qxd5+ forks the king and the rook.
    Or if Qxh8, then Rxe7+. Now if Kg8 then Re8 wins the queen. But Kf8 saves the day for black.
    Hence, the following attack seems better!
    Option 2: Qe2 attacking the knight on c4 as well as the bishop on e7.
    1. Qxh8 loses to Qxe7+ Kg8 Qe8+ Kg7 Re7+ Kh6 Qxh8 taking the queen.
    2. Be6 is not an option due to Qxe6+ and now if Kf8 then Qxc4 wins the knight as well, or if Ke8 then Bxf6 Kf8 Bxe7+ Qxe7 Qxe7+ is winning.
    3. If Ne5 trying to block the attack, then f4. Now Nc4 is not possible due to Qxc4+. Nd7 is not good as it blocks the bishop leading to Qe6+. So Ng4 and then h3 forces the knight to h6 and then Qe3 g5 Qe4 attacking c6, h7 and e7, giving a strong attack to white.

    • @GMIgorSmirnov
      @GMIgorSmirnov  Před 3 lety +1

      Kf8 doesn't save the day for Black. White is still winning as Black's pieces are poorly placed - the queen and rook in corners, bishop yet to be developed, unsupported knight. White can win by Rc7 for instance. Check out the PGN for complete analysis - bit.ly/3fMVKBE

    If white plays Nxf6 instead of Bxf6 then then Bb7 can be played.
