Thank you soo much for this! We've just bought an antique parlor stove that has been completely refurbished and are getting ready to install it. You've helped us decide on the perfect spot for it. Much appreciated!!!
I started watching your videos for clearances. I have an old virginian model 102 that I can't find much info for. I wanted a 45 degree corner hearth that I was planning to repurpose some old pool table slate to build, but after watching this, I'm questioning everything.
I'm so glad that I just decided to watch a video on installing a wood burning stove! I know now that there are way more variables to consider than I'd supposed. And so, if I do ever get one, will hire a professional.
When you enclose a flue going in the house as single walled, you can use calcium silicate panels and isolate it, and adding 1 top and 1 bottom vents will make your upstairs hotter.
Stove pipe dampers are typically not recommended on a newer stove. Stove dampers work great for old stoves that don't damp down well. The new stoves of today should not need them and they could effect the clean burn that stoves are designed for. We only recommended them if you have an over draft, from a long chimney (over 25') or an old stove with little to no air control. If installing one follow the manufactures installation instructions, but usually they are installed 18" above the stove. Hope that helps and thanks for watching
Excellent video. Thanks!

Please turn down background noise it makes it difficult to follow your video
Agreed, the music is too loud and annoying. Unfortunately I am not able to edit it once’s it’s posted
Basement best location. Prepare for the ice storm.

This was such a great video!! Do you have any info on Glo-Fire stoves? I can't seem to find anything about them

Great video
Do they make Master Forge wood heaters?
Thank you!
Great informative video!
Is it possible to run my wood stove through an existing chimney? I have a propane insert on the second floor, but I want a wood stove in the basement
No, you are not allowed to mix fuels or vent through different floor levels
Excellent video. Thank you!
Next to chimney.
great info
I don’t see much anywhere about the location and use of stovepipe dampers.

@@Lifeonthe49th So Don't install a wood burning stove in the basement?
Ma'am I'm sorry to say this but the music in the background was overpowering your video and made it extremely difficult to hear what you're saying
