I remember reading this in a book, not a school textbook, it is a world history book, it mentions what happened during WW1 when the Russian Empire falls, and a lot of russians fled their country. I also remember reading that Manuel L. Quezon allowed the Jews from Europe to enter The Philippines to escape the evil Nazis, and their psychopatic leader, the refugees first entered back in 1937.

The Vietnamese are very generous and thoughtful. The mother of a friend who was a teacher in the refugee camp in Palawan in the 80's during the time of the boat people, was never forgotten by her elementary students. She taught them English. These young Vietnamese kids were distributed around the world and became very succesful now. This teacher was rewarded by her former students with an all expense trip to Malaysia and given a substantial reward.

I was born on 1965, wala akong nabasa, walang itinuro ang aming teacher sa history either elementary or high school tungkol sa refugee galing israel, vietnam, Russia at Korean war at iba pa. Nito lamang may internet ko nalaman in my 50's.
Great to know this history of the philippines. I've never really read anything of such events like this in history books when I was still in school.
I've watched a lot of documentaries on CZcams and doing some research to enlighten myself about our history, and there's a lot of untold stories from our history that need to be told, not just for us but for our future generations.

If Christ himself told you not to pray like that, just do it if you really have faith in him; else not only you disobey and did not believe his words, but also won't be heard.
