Somehow most Harley-Davidson motorcycles looks super cool in person than in video’s. The street glide in showroom looks 100 times better than in any video
The standard is the better value because your going to change everything anyway.
Agree. I never understood paying 8k more for the specials for such little power gains. A 107 and a couple grand on a solid cam and exhaust will get you better output than a 114 if Im not mistaken
@@willyafg here’s the thing. You’re going to change the wheels, cam, big bore, exhaust, color match inner faring, bars, floor boards, tunes. So your starting point would be best with the standard

It's 2022: ride modes - no; electronic adjust suspension - no; electronic windshield height adjustment - no; traction control - no; but wait, wait for it, wait, it now has LED turn signals - wow! that's super impressive. I suppose as Harley riders we just have to fall back on that cop-out cliche: 'if I had to explain you wouldn't understand' given the premium price we pay for a product that doesn't come with premium features. BTW, very good comparison of the 107 and 114 SGs.
I agree with some of your comment, but rides modes are too gimmicky and dont belong on motorcycles that are manual. Maybe on an electric moto but it seems stupid to let your bike electronically manipulate bike speed. Shift gears like a man and stop buying into the new age hipster gimmicks.
@@willyafg I've had a Triumph Tourer with ride modes, I have a Pan America with Ride Modes, ride modes is not a gimmick. Off road Mode on the Pan Am is awesome ( makes me ride offroad with some confidence). Taking it from Road Mode to Sports Mode is like going from a Stage II to a Stage IV with your suspension being auto adjusted at the same time. Some folks don't need or want the responsively of a Stage IV 100% of the time, particularly when the road is wet. Great to have the flexibility just by pressing a button.
@@nevillegreg1 pan america makes sense since it is an on and off road bike. Otherwise, I am not into putting more computers into a bike. Call me old school i guess. Just inflates the price and more importantly it adds more crap that can break and/or fail. We should never rely on a computer. They will inevitably fail. 10 years from now idiots will be asking for autopilot on their harleys 👎
Power wise the 107 is making 111torque and 114 is making 118. Not very different on power. Mostly price is cosmetic and bigger engine but is it really worth it ?
@@mobkinq I test road a 107 LR and bought it with a Stage III (114) when I rode it out of the dealership. I certainly felt a good difference between the 2. Noting that the SE cam of Stage III 114 is not the same as the cam in the Factory stock 114 so there is a difference in power/torque between the Factory 114 and a SE Stage III 114.

Been telling him this for months now! Also the ST has a Screamin Eagle torque cam installed already so no need to do that. Blacked out so that is done too.
Agreed. I alway picture grumpy old men on road glides.
Finally got my 2022 Street Glide ST. Went for my first ride today. With the 5'' Klock Werks screen, Simpson Helmet and my 5'7'' height, at 90 MPH I was just barley starting to feel some wind buffeting. No buffeting or lifting of helmet at lower speeds so the Street Glide for me seems fine.

Okay WTF , has the street glide standard replace the Electra glide standard because the only difference that I saw was the top of the tank and the badge on the side . I own a EGS and I can't tell the difference .
