  • I've sewn two versions of the Cashmerette Webster - the dress and top.
The interfacing is from *FASHION SEWING SUPPLY*. I gave the wrong name in the video.
    Cashmerette Webster Sewing Pattern:
    www.cashmerett...
    Fabrics used:
For the top - Rayon from Fabricland in Calgary, Canada
For the dress - Blouseweight Polyester Woven from Fabricmart Fabrics in Pennsylvania
This pattern is great for those who normally need to adjust patterns for an FBA because none is needed! The pattern is quite simple and a beginner sewist or one who is just learning to sew their own clothes should be able to be successful.
The shape is great for those of us who want a top or dress that skims over parts of the body that we don't want to highlight. 😏
The dress was highlighted on Fabric Mart's Fabricista blog earlier this year. I have not yet worn either piece because I've been waiting for summer weather. And here it is!

Love your choice of pattern and fabrics. Such detailed explanations of how you made these garments. So interesting that the fabrics can create such a difference in the fit. They both look so comfortable and flowy for the warm days ahead. Summer just started so you are right on schedule with your makes! Enjoy wearing them and thanks for sharing, so great to see you are into your garment making again.

Hi Janine!! Love your Webster top & dress.. Fabric choices a beautiful, I’m really hooked on your top fabric for sure.. You did an amazing job on both outfits & happy to hear you figured out your hiccup with the straps on back of dress.. Hopefully you get to wear them out & about soon….

Love your 2 Cashmerette versions. That criss- cross back detail makes it special.😊

Glad you like them! I wasn't quite sure about the straps when I first saw the pattern because I always worry about bra straps showing but the pattern is drafted so well that they turned out nicely.

Beautiful makes Janine! I’m just learning how to make pattern adjustments for my aging body. 😬 Slightly forward shoulder and rounded upper back, swayback, etc. It does make a huge difference in the way a finished garment fits, as does the fabric used. It’s all trial and error. Working on tried and true patterns too.

      Thank you, Donna!
Yes, lots of small changes to be made and they all seem to add up in terms of time required, don't they? I hope you are filling a box full of TNTs that you wear with great confidence and joy!

Thanks for the video! Your garments are lovely! I've got a list of garments that I want to see, I have a brand new granddaughter, and can't stop sewing for her! Thank you again!

Congratulations on the new granddaughter! 💕 Maybe you can make one for baby then one for grandmother?

Did you get the interfacing from Fashion Sewing Supply? That's what pops up when I search Fashion Fabrics Supply.

Yes! That was a mistake! It's Fashion Sewing Supply. Apologies!!
