- Sarah Ferguson has revealed on Instagram that she was taken aback by her skin cancer diagnosis. The 64-year-old Duchess of York expressed her gratitude to those who offered support, including well-wishers and medical professionals. This marks her second cancer diagnosis in a year, following a previous bout with breast cancer during the summer, which required a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery.
Vanessa Feltz speaks with TalkTV’s royal editor Sarah Hewson and NHS GP Philippa Kaye.

IMO Sarah telling all about her cancers is a good thing. It will raise awareness of this horrible disease. My husband had skin cancer, and he had dark hair. Also, in the past, we were not aware of the danger of the sun. Don't judge her - we all did the sun thing back in the day.

There's more to this than they're saying which is fair enough. These cancers were discovered at the same time. I believe the skin cancer is secondary. I wish her well.

I met the Sarah the duchess of York in inverness many years ago she was the most beautiful and amazing lady for a royal walked through the High Street I wish her well and pray for her 😢x
Back in the 1970’s and 80’s people didn’t use sun cream. There is a time bomb of people in their late 50’s and 60’s now who are going to be diagnosed with skin cancer.
That mole story might keep a few people out from under the sunbeds, or basking in the sun on holiday, without using good protection.
If the dermatologist saw it on the table during reconstruction why is it half a year later with the new diagnosis? 6 months for testing?
The obvious explanation is that the reconstruction wasn't begun until six months after the breast cancer surgery. Reconstructions can't be done immediately after mastectomy as the surgical area needs a lot of time to heal.

What ??? She was the unfaithful one in the marriage.. And he has put a roof over her head and supported her all these years. She was friends with Epstein too . Why single him out...she put him thru huge embarrassment many times. He's there supporting her now.

I agree it's spreading all over her body a metastasis is likely happened to my mum from vagina then to lung and finally brain. Once-over think she has covid the cell escapes from the initial tumour. It finds another organ to settle and then its whem the real trouble begins. These people dont have a clue. They
No, breast cancer doesn't spread to the skin as something that looks like melanoma. To suggest that it does is simply ignorant. The fact is that redheads like Fergie are at the highest risk for skin cancer, and Fergie did spend A LOT of time in the sun as a young woman. Probably she didn't use sunscreen, or didn't use it consistently.
