Hi the obd cable to the vci has an adapter cable that can be connected to the cigarette lighter for power. Do I need to connect that too to use the device on the car? My error light kn the vci also is on when I connect it to my vehicle
No that cigarette liter cable is not required if vci is getting power from the obd port if for any reason there is no power output in obd port then you can use cigarette lighter cable
