- Enjoy a ride experience video of Splash Mountain at the Magic Kingdom in 4K! As I'm sure you all know by now, Splash Mountain will be rethemed to Princess and the Frog in late 2024. I tried to film a pretty detailed video of the queue & ride, but so much is either broken or not working properly lol. It's a shame but Disney definitely won't fix anything since it'll close permanently in the coming months. There will be a couple more Splash Mountain videos posted on here before it closes for sure. This was filmed on October 19th 2022 from around 2pm - 2:30pm

Yes that’s true. You never know what they may change/take away eventually! Hopefully rides like Pirates, Haunted Mansion, PeopleMover won’t ever be removed
I blame black lives matter and Bob Ceapek for this. Both of them started this whole changing Splash Mountain into something else nonsense in the first place. This is all their fault. Oh and Bob Ceapek is gay.

💧Great minds think alike 😂 Nice seeing the queue in detail and hearing the loop. So much was nonfunctional at DL also. Our laughing place is embarrassing, so much hasn’t worked. If you can get fireworks from it at night that would be cool but other than that I’ll look back to a prior video when most worked. Th x for becoming an icicle for us! 🦊🐰🐻💜
Haha yep for sure! I’ll definitely try to time in just right with the fireworks, but we’ll see if it works out. I’ve tried a couple times before but just missed them both times lol. Thanks so much as always Liz 😃

Haha thank you Craig! I think this was my best drop footage out of all the times I filmed it. I do believe that the Tiana re theme will be a lot of fun for sure. I’ll be content if the ride still has a substantial amount of animatronics. Thanks so much as always!

I understand the reaon for the retheming…even beyond keeping it more current (current? been a while since we first saw Tiana, Naveen, Louis, and Ray…oh, Ray, on the big screen)…but to lose some music iconic not to just the parks but to Disney (Zip-a-dee do dah is all but gone, except the closing scene on Splash Mountain) just tugs at my heart (and I’ve not even been going to the parks that long or much of my life). Thank you for capturing it as you can, 4K!!!
Yes, I’ll miss the ride so much and not hearing that song anymore will also be strange. There are certain things at the Magic Kingdom that I genuinely enjoy consistently, and Splash Mountain is one of them. I do believe the Tiana re theme will be really fun too, but the nostalgia will most definitely be gone once Splash closes. Thanks for watching as always Rick!

Somebody needs to fix Br’er Rabbit at the end. The last 7 videos I saw of Splash Mountain, he just sits still while he’s singing

I think the first time I ever went on this the wait time was 6 hours, no express passes or Disney rip off programs back in them days! 🤣
If you waited 6 hours for one ride THAT was the rip-off program
That’s wasn’t a rip off but I think it was like 2 hours in the end, I think they just did that to scare people off, the free express passes were good but what they are doing now is a piss take!

Love Splash Mountain! One of our favorite rides in the park. It’s going to be severely missed.
I went on this ride last week and it was a BLAST. On top of that, I got on it at night which made it hundredfold scarier!!!! 🤣Sad to know that it’s going to be closed permanently and rebranded into a new ride 😢 Best decision to get on it even if I was scared as hell with the dips.
I have been watching your videos recently and you are excellent in your craft. I'm heading there in January after 6 years. Can you do one for Seven Dwarfs? I remember I love tat queque in there.

You didn't show us your drop photo at the end. :) Over the years, I've watched a lot of videos of Splash Mountain from various channels and websites. It's not an easy ride to film. Without a doubt this is the absolutely best video of this ride. I'm really going to miss Splash Mountain. The music is just so fun and upbeat. If you're having a bad park day, this ride will cure that. I'm one that's not very optimistic about the changes coming. I'm so glad you got a great video for us to save.

Hopefully you will just make it! Splash Mountain usually closes for refurbishment at some point in January but presumably this time it will just close for good then. I hope Disney announces an official date soon so we can know for sure. Thanks for watching as always!

I mean...we what exactly was racist about this attraction? If no one knew about Song of the South, you would just think it's a fun ride with cute animatronics
Pirates of the Caribbean made changes to their attraction while keeping it essentially the same, they could have done the same thing here without having to completely redo the whole story
It’s a shame that splash won’t be there anymore
To be honest, I wished someone would film the ride from the right point of view, then the left point of view, then the ceiling point of view, then the back point of view, finally the front point of view.
I love Splash Mountain but I will also look forward to the re-theme, even though I’d like them to keep it the same. I also would like to say that if the reason they are changing this ride is due to the racism in the film it came from, despite those features not being in the ride, then they might as well get rid of Dumbo as well. Don’t think we forgot about those Jim Crow’s (SMH) 😂😂!!!
It's a lot easier to close and retheme Splash Mountain than to retheme the spinning Dumbo one.
This mountain belongs to the Br'ers and the Br'ers only. Nothing will ever replace this beautiful attraction. There's a reason it's considered one of Disney's best. They're making a huge mistake.
