YES.... I could live in those small condos. NO...I would not pay those outrageous prices for them.
Amazing how developers have been able to talk people into spending hundreds of thousands of dollars for a room with a hot plate and a tiolet . These units would be ok for students . If all you do is go to school , the library and come home to sleep . These condos are over priced , far too over priced !
Exactly. It would work as an apartment for when you want an all that I need space but not as a condo. No way!
It's a scam
@@user-tt6sq1ft1m : Unfortunately " the scam " is reality !
I don't see much end user demand but an investor owner could place students in these units continuously without issue. Most students would be happy with these for a year or two. Much better than the chopped up basements mosts of us spent time in during our student days.
Absolutely hilarious watching this in 2024 and hearing “if you’re watching this in a couple years $700k for 300 sq feet could be a bargain.” Spoken like a true real estate agent! Lmao
beautiful units, a family of 6 in Hong Kong could live very comfortably in those spaces.
I'll stick with my 1400 sq ft condo in the Beach right on Lake Ontario. It is on the first floor so I have both a garden and a patio facing the lake. It is good to be close to downtown, but have your own 15 minute city.
What a fun video!! love the channel Dem!
🔥🔥🔥. The people recognize that first condo 😂😂😂
Hahaha that is the one!
This certainly was eye opening. I think I would suffocate in about 5 min. 🦋🦋🦋
Dem, these type of videos do really well on your channel. I love them so much and 6.4k other people love it too
This is so different than any other condo vids that I've seen! Brilliant idea showing things that you don't get too see too often :P
you're a natural with the vlogs keep em coming
I love it ! The view is stunning ! The condo is nice , loving the Murphy bed ! I would live there except for the price , to expensive for my taste !
I actually live in the last condo shown in the video. Overall the building is great and so are the views except for two main things.
1) 1-2 elevators are always down so going up 40+ floors with a long line is always a nuisance.
2) The parking lift/elevator is constantly down too, having to wait 2-5 hours for your vehicle to be ready which means you can't rent it out with such faulty equipment/software!!!!
Yes realtor vlogs!!!
Thanks for the tour 💛💛💛💛
The 55th flr Massey unit is back up on the MLS 7 hours ago for 719k. Same sheets on the bed and same sofa ha. Awesome unit as long as the view stays unobstructed.
First vlog! 🎉 When Dem says Make you sure "Like! Coment! Subscribe!" It's awesome! Lol and stick one my head lol More vlogs!!!👏👏🎉🇧🇷
I recently saw a makeover video of an apartment that looked identical to the last one you showed in this vlog. It was made SO attractive and liveable.
I am loving these videos! Keep ‘em coming!☺️
Thank you! More to come!
Love, love, love the first one!
I could absolutely live comfortably in these condos as im desiging a tiny house to live in that is 160 sqft.
But I would never pay the price being asked for these.
Out of the 3, I think the 2nd one is my fav.
The outside of that first condo reminded me of your guys's old one!!!
You are absolutely right. The condo at Young and Queen has a awesome view. But at $699K, WOW!
My very first studio in TO was 236 sq ft in queen w and I loved it! About 5 years ago it was $1350. If you’re really intentional about your furniture choices and can keep it clean, spaces like these definitely get the job done
that last place looked really good, please do more of these videos
Loved this video!!!
Thanks!
Nice. Well done Dem
More sucess. Blessing
Thank you 🙏🏼
I actually like the kitchen in the hallway of unit #1. I think it's the most practical. But it's waaaaay too expensive wow
Loved the last condo, I would live there 🙌🏽
As far as studios go! That one is tough to beat
TINIER! lol great vid 👍
here i am, watching tiny home videos like i always do and i click on this one and BOOM! my worlds collide when a BBCAN person starts talking to me! someone crossed the streams.
Easily and could happily live in any of these. Just need the bare essentials.
I like the last condo
Yes more vids like these please
I’ll keep them coming!
We need more videos, about work business & all things for us men bro, good to see your own channel
Thank you! I’ll try to keep them coming 👊🏼
Good 👍🏾 job 👏🏾
Dem♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thanks! 🙏🏼
Nice. Do you have a video on condo bidding wars?
Great tour 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you!
My first condo was 398 sq ft.... at Village By The Grange... it was definitely livable or a single guy... paid only about $160k for it.
After watching the teeny tiny officetel studio tours of Seoul, these apartments look OK actually :)
I', assuming the microwave in the Queen micro condo is a convection microwave since I don't see a regular oven.
Thank god for interest rate hike- although borrowing power has diminished it will give buyers a room to negotiate .
Great video. Those prices are ridiculous, you can buy a 1 bedroom just down the street for $785,000 600+ SF.
So, first off, LOVE the video. Super interesting, informative, would love to see more, especially as I’m looking at renting (maaaybe buying a studio) in Toronto.
…that being said, I could never, and WOULD never pay over $500k for a Studio. $700k is ludicrous. I know the video was from 2 years ago, so maybe that’s why, but I’m seeing studios in downtown for $350k-$450k now.
It’s like a camper it’s so small. Could take some ideas from campers, also as far as storage, etc.
That's about the same size as my social housing / supportive housing unit. But being built in the 70's I have a kitchen in a traditional layout in its own room that's 7x7 and I have four-floor tiles of space to move around in and half the cupboard space. I also have a 17-x 5'5" balcony. But I have what was designed as a pantry in the hall but gets used as storage. the main living room is about 5 feet longer and seventeen feet wide, But I am in Scarborough rather than downtown. If they were to change the kitchen to a gallery kitchen it would be perfect and would give me a few more square feet and a more open feeling.
Hey mister Dimitr(i)ontocondo (say out loud) 😂😂😂 for me as living in Holland and having day while you have night and reversed really nice to "walk around" with you through your daily work.
Ps Your style evolved real nice and I smell a lot of "sprinkles" of Ika in it 😂🤫😂
LMAO I love the name. I'm going to steal that. Thanks!
@@demetres_gia LMAO Let me know when you use it! Welcome :))))
like honestly this is a huge no thanks, pay for the height no. and zero room for anything.
As someone who's been living in a 372 sq. ft studio for 3 1/2 years, and has more pairs of shoes than anyone I've ever met, it's definitely doable!
There’s always a way to make it work!
I think they are “doable.” But, I’m not gonna lie. The narrow hallway would give me pause. Anyway, thanks for the tour!
That hall is a tough sell
Those high, narrow outside balconies scare me!!
how is that even up to code? Though hallways had to be at least 4 feet in width? Or is that not a thing?
@@SonshineLady7 I won't dare to stand on the balcony for that beautiful scene. The only usage of the balcony is to leak piss because of being scared.
@@SonshineLady7 I'm normally not afraid of heights, but even I would probably be nervous leaning over a railing from the 60th floor!
I make 236 sqft work for myself and 2 dogs. 290 sqft sounds like a mansion to me lol .
great vid!!! loved it. in 2 years this is a bargain....or a disaster
Yep this was basically the top of the market. Now condo sales are a ghost town 2 years later lol.
Honestly i love them i wish i could afford one
I actually really like small studios like these. They're really modern and have nice views so I would rather have a small apartment like this instead of a larger apartment that is old. Sure, it's not for everyone but we should have a variety of options so that people like me who like these apartments had the option to live in one.
The last one wasn't too small, yet that price is insane!
I live in a 357 sqf apartment in TO, it's doable because apartment like these are very functional, they have everything you need. They're just small. You can live in one but to buy one, that i wouldn't do.
There is a smaller condo than the one you viewed at 11 Wellesley street, just at 28 Wellesley street east, the other side of the road! Super small infact lool
The housing crisis is way out of hand. So many of us will never be able to retire, much less own a home.
I live in downtown Chicago and went to law school in Berkeley, so I am used to smal spaces. I could totally live in the last two condos (the hallway in the first one is creepy). However, I am shocked at how expensive the condos are. These are definitely NYC and San Francisco prices.
We are getting there that’s for sure!
But where would you eat? Standing over the kitchen sink?
For your info a 321 sqf condo on Wellesley street just sold for more than $550 000 so I doubt that it will go for $200 000. There is nothing downtown Toronto under $400 000 and up !
lol the condo you pranked Ika in is just tooo narrow to be livable, imagine trying to haul groceries inside
10:24 They'll be Uber Eats-ing all of their meals until their tech or marketing job is outsourced to someone overseas who can do it for 30% of the cost , or their work will be absorbed by AI. If they put a minimum down payment they'll then be forced to sell at a loss when thousands of other people who'd otherwise bid up prices will have also lost their six figure covid tech-bubble job .
The first condo had what looked like painted over rust on the railing on the balcony. I hope I'm wrong.
Very interesting! I'd be interested to see.more like this...I sub to Cash Jordan in NYC who's been making videos like this for awhile...they are super entertaining....it would be great to see you do these regularily!
Love Cash Jordan! I’m also a loyal sub of his lol
Been to a smaller unit at 197 yonge street. I think I would live there. Definitely doable and very morden units too
Yeah the building is actually very nice
Hello, could you do some micro condos that are more affordable like $800 - $1400?
For those prices.. maybe in Hamilton, Ont.
That last one for 700.000 was nice most likely paying for the view I think in Vancouver that same place would be way more
Not anymore, RBC just announced Toronto is now the most expensive city to buy condos in Canada.
Same place probably little bit cheaper in Vancouver per sqft.
I travel quite a bit for work..my hotel rooms are bigger
💯🔥💯👍🏾
Oui dem il y a des personnes qui aiment les petites espaces! Personnellement le 60ème, 80 étages non merci 🥴
I'm not as concerned about the sizes - as a single woman I could easily live in any of them - but the price/rent - ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!! I live in one of the U.S. states where people are moving in by the droves to get away from certain "conditions" in other states. Houses are being purchased here sight unseen and of course the prices have risen accordingly. Very large, spacious, gorgeous homes are being sold in equally well-maintained suburban areas that are minutes from the downtown area and close to "tourist attractions." Average cost for a 4-5 bedroom home with a full bath plus another full bath in the master bedroom, huge kitchens, family room, dining room, formal living room, laundry room, two-car garage and a good sized lot in this area are going for $425,000. Even very average apartments are going up in price. I live in a nice one-bedroom apartment for $695 BUT we now have a 600 person waiting list!!!!!
Lol perfect condo for a midget or small people it's a steal
377 sqf is already so much better. Every will fit. Couch, bed, desk and personal belongings but it will NEVER GO FOR $699 000 !
👏🏽👌🏽👍🏽💯
These prices are stupidly high and you can't convince me it's a bargain.
Look into the camera
is this smart house?
Love the last condo.. but the price is way too much.
Yeah it’s a little steep but that view 👀
There is no way in hell I would buy something that small for that price, it's insane. You must as well check in at the Toronto South Detention Centre in a cell, same size..lol
I would assume the food is better in the studio apartment lol
@@demetres_gia you got a point 😄
💋❤❣
incredible jail cell for the rent slaves
I could live in that last one comfortably, but not at that price. This comment being a year later, the price is probably higher now.
On that second condo, not only it's extremely small but you have this huge building blocking your view and people staring at you.....
Small?... that's European standards.....we're there
Bro u wanna see small??? Go to the condos near wilson station.... absolutely horrible.
Just watching through CZcams made me claustrophobic, and I'm not claustrophobic. I'd rather live in a van...
600K? Too much, that's pure greed!
I’m manifesting owing rentals in my life. Better than bitcoin
Toronto beats Vancouver as most expensive real estate market in Canada few weeks after this video.
Jesus...
Claustrophobic condos
Very claustrophobic but as the city grows and things go back to normal these will be in high demand!
as a sydneysider this looks CHEAP
Yeah these are tiny. Better to get some roommates and rent a bigger place at a lower price.
All 3 of them are too small and way over priced. These are the shoeboxes that are very unliveable. Not a fan of the murphy bed concept. I've been in a condo with a bed room + wasroom being almost 300 sq feet.
Over priced closet
grim
bad investment, cant even cash flow, just betting on appreciation, which is very risky
Definitely won’t cashflow the first year you buy it… nothing in Toronto will. As rents go up it will begin to cash flow at some point.
I wouldn’t call it a bad investment either , anyone who has bought a condo in Toronto in the past 6 years and has held onto it for at least 2 years has made a lot of money
If I have money I won't buy this condo.
Whoever buys that condo is dumb. 600,000 no student could afford that.
