Daytime photography:
Both phones have 12MP main cameras with optical image stabilization and phase detection autofocus. You have to learn how to use Sony camera. Currently I'm using Xperia 5ii, I can definitely capture some amazing shots with it. Just you need to know some basics of photography. If you have it you can tweak some camera settings and you will get a better shot with 5ii. Pixel phones give you some over processed hdr pictures. Sony always goes for natural rendition of the scenes. Go and get some photography knowledge then try to shoot with Sony phone.
