or having it be a ranked matchmaking thing, like u gain or lose points based off placement at end of race and ur total score determines your skill level and matchemaking, a game called real racing 3 does it that way
@@KazBodnar inchidents happen… it won’t affect your rating too much. Iracing is a very good example of how successful this method of classification is.

Usually at the beginning of a race on unranked, I go at the start then pull to the side and go slow for the first corner cause it’s usually better to start at the back than be in the middle. Very Front or very back are the only safe places to start
Same man, if there is a quali session i just put down a slow time so I get to start in the back, it'll give you a bit of work to catch up some places but it's better than getting torpedoed into turn one and losing a wing or potentially getting a DNF
I've come to the realization that the people who play online whether it's ranked or social have no idea how to drive an open wheel car. I'm in the U.S. and I play with some guys from Germany and I enjoy the hell out of the races.
@@razorvh95 exactly they want to drive like a demolition derby instead of actually racing. Then they say "it's just a game bro chill out" I always say to them if you could drive a car without hitting someone every five feet I wouldn't have to chill out.
@@Watercooledguy the problem is most of them are so frustrated because the few people on unranked or ranked that play with virtually no assists and manual transmission are so much faster that their only real option is to do this.
@@lucasredd6144 A few days ago I was in a random lobby and the other people had absolutely no desire to finish the race. It was on the Mexico track and they had demolished every car before we got to turn 1. Do they think it's funny? Do they think that's how the cars work? I had a million questions for them but I knew if I said anything that I would just be inundated with rhetoric. I dont do online with anyone but the Germans now. I'm done with random wreckers
@@Watercooledguy I'm what you would call relatively new to the game as in I've been playing the 2020 version for around a year and started off against AI then slowly got to removing more and more assists and now I play on manual etc. But I've noticed when starting to play against real people that you just can't have a single lobby without rats it's impossible so I just go with no damage races and 5 laps max cause its just so frustrating.

I noticed a lot of clowns clearly were not racing with etiquette(over shooting braking zones, running you off your own racing line, but you stuck to yours & found yourself just outside the podium on the second lap, good hustle driver. Like we say in the NASCAR world, Keep diggn.

Yes, i agree on that. F1 has 'safety rating' but it's only for display as it seems. Besides that, there are plenty of cheaters in league racing and there is someone who is publicly promoting cheats (top3 time trial on every track) and developers just don't care

Would play this game if it were controller friendly. Unfortunately, anything that doesn't Drive like Forza I wouldn't play. Wish all racing games were like forza mechanics 😓
You would be suprised there are many controller players. Some of them are esports levels. As for mechanics comparison between F1 and FH, Forza is simply arcade game which does not have realistic mechanics, whilst F1 is simcade which means it leans more towards sim rather than arcade.

Suggestion for Codemasters: have a racing mode called "clean racing" where opponents that don't drive clean there get banned from using the feature
