Your stunning video has brought back wonderful memories. What an incredibly beautiful place the Canadian Rockies are. Most of the lakes were frozen over and all the alps were covered in snow during our visit at the start of Spring. The first bears were appearing, eating grass by the highway, where the first rays of sun hit the ground. Just magic!
I was on the roads of Alberta and British Columbia some months ago. Absolutely breathtaking...no regrets because the journey was really expensive...This destination is definitely on my " to do again list" . Parkway Icefiled...just WOW

I also recommend the Lake O'Hara area Athabasca falls,Pyramid lake walk and Jasper town area and for great hot springs I favour Miette hot springs over the ones in Banff ; less crowded fresher , hotter water and the drive to it is rewarding .
I'm going next year as part of my bucket list, I have been plenty of times and it is absolutely amazing, so relaxing I am also going to do the rocky mountaineer I would love to live there.

American Rockies may be higher but the Canadian Rockies are way more beautiful and spectacular...
