I'm from Turkey and Malini always asked people if they belonged to the West or the East. Choosing one side always means losing the other side, so Turkey has a chance not to choose one side. We are both East and West, we have lived through such a century and we will continue to live like this.
Become western
I visited it last summer. It's one of my favorite cities in the world.
What makes Istanbul stand out as a fab city, is it’s heritage, culture and values. I hope it never loses it’s identity as a city that has a deep and beautiful soul. No other city comes close to the richness like Istanbul.
What values the extremination of all the byzantines Greeks from the city they created ?
@@LondonPower what did Athens and Greece do to eradicate 400 years worth of Ottoman empire history?
@@tabbylondon2382 400 years of slavery
@@LondonPower doubt it very much. By 1453, the Byzantine empire was on its knees because of Its ineptitude. The Ottoman Empire was preferred to maintain the integrity of the Orthodox faith instead of accepting the Papacy of Western Christendom.

He's exhaggerating. Seriously, Turkey's not North Korea. You just need to mind how you say certain things.
In Turkey, you can find a scientist openly calling religious as ''Nonsense'', yes there are backlashes but you can't get in trouble that easily either.

I travel to Istanbul often. Such an amazing experience every time.
dont come we dont want your kind in our country
Istanbul, the city of my heart ♥️
Went there last month. I really love Turkey... Istanbul really very beautiful...
Lucky you. Hopefully we get there one day too.
🇹🇷❤🤗
Going to Turkey in 8 weeks. Thanks for this timely video!!!
Enjoy your time. I recommend trying the baklava pastries and dondurma ice cream.
Also try the lokum sweets. You might be able to bring some over.
Also try the authentic donner kebab in Iskender in Istanbul. Real kebab not like the minced garbage in UK chip shops.
Istanbul is always amazing. I visited it six times, and my desire to explore it is still young. It is a living city.
I am in love with Istanbul! My love for Turkish culture began when I was 12 years old when my sister's Albanian friend introduced me to one of Tarkan's songs. I finally got a chance to travel to Istanbul when I was in university for an exchange semester in 2015. I've been coming back ever since. I finally moved to Turkey a few months ago to Tekirdag. Hoping in the next 2-3 years I'll be able to move to Istanbul, Beykoz ideally.
Turkey is not safe right now. There is a possibility of turmoil in the upcoming presidential elections.

Geçenlerde eşimle birlikte Beykoz'u gezdik ve bana 90'lı yıllarda İstanbul'a dair güzel olan her şeyi hatırlattığını söyledi. Özellikle Gümüşsuyu çok güzel görünüyor ama Beykoz'un geri kalanını henüz görme fırsatım olmadı.
I'm thinking of moving in a year or so to Istanbul. I fell in love witht the turkish culture back in 2017. I visted for the first time two weeks ago and I fell in love!
Can’t put my finger on why but Istanbul reminds me quite a bit of Mexico City. Both megacities with a fast changing identity from rapid development with defined pockets of historic areas and neighborhoods populated by young politically active people, nightlife, street food and a Mediterranean climate.
I think you chose the guides who weren't able to show the real 'istanbul'. There's so much more to it. Feel free to reach out to me. The current context is super 'orientalist' i'm afraid..
'Tarik' is not even a guide i think. His english is not good enough to explain.
It’s better to see Istanbul that way not need something professional

I watched your video about Beirut. a City I have visited many times a great video from any aspect. I can't say the same about this. I don't know if is the only one from instabul but in this one you're scratching only the surface. excellent cinematography as always.
Watching from Atlanta, Georgia. Thank you for taking us on this journey with you.
You can never get tired of Turkey, exotic, traditional, historical, culturally rich… very unique country!
It certainly draws you in and makes you want to go doesn't it.
Beautiful voyage and introduction to This marvellous city of Istanbul ❤ I loved everything and I cannot wait for the day I can go visit it with my own eyes and heart 💜 absolutely stunning Thank you 🙏🏼
Sabrina 🇫🇷🇬🇧
An excellent example of the fabric of Turkish culture…Great video Malini 👍🤙✌️
🤗🇹🇷❤
Malini: Thanks you so much for this new remarkable video today’s from Istanbul, Turkey in March of 2023.I really LOVE this great video released today in great joy 2023❤❤❤
Awesome video as always, and I wished if you went deeper into the history of the city and its dynamics, it felt like scratching around the surface.
Turkey is a very beautiful and historical land. People are so kind and I love this land. I personally think the Turkish should find out their own way to "develop" this country, because of the historical and exotic, uniqueness of the location. The bridge between Europe and Asia is an advantage in culture and economics.
Wow I ❤️❤️ it a lot. It was a video on brain and belly i.e. history n food. It not only showed different angles of the city from the normal ones but the past vis a vis the present. Adorable 😍. I wish you had visited other main cities. They are amazing with valuable culture, lifestyle, landscape, history n other settlements. Your video was very much different from others. Best of luck. Happy travelling n TC....🌹☺️
Love your vlog!!! Istanbul is amazing! ❤Just moved here a couple weeks ago and I'm loving it!
Hola Eulaila, Hope you are enjoying Istanbul . Try to discover it or it will discover you :)
🤗❤🇹🇷
Only love and respect for this beloved city. There is nothing quite like it in the whole world! Greetings and love from Greece
Another outstanding presentation, Malini. Thank you.
Great content and production as always. Thank you
I think it is worth mentioning here that the importance of Istanbul and The Bosphorus together with Dardanelles are that they are providing a passage for the Russian military and the navy into the Mediterranean and back to the Black Sea through Marmara.
So amazing! Watching your video is like I'm traveling! We love your channel! You inspire us to start our journey!😁❤❤
been there, lovely city and kind people, will go again
I Was waiting for another great video. Thanks a lot.

Another banger 💥 Love your content
Really love your videos. So well done
I really enjoy your videos, thanks!
please visit more cities in Turkey like Izmir, Ankara, Antalya, Mugla, Trabzon or Konya. It would serve to show Turkish reality to your viewers in a more solid way including all extremes of the Turkish spectrum, Istanbul is great but it is over advertised, there are other incredibly beautiful cities in Turkey with rich culture, idyllic scenery all around and mind blowing diversity.
Istanbul is the beautiful city .. nice vlog
Another stellar production.
Tripe soup so good. Would love to go to Istanbul for the cuisine. I’m used to menudo which is a treasure in our family from Mexico.
This has to be the best travel account on youtube. No BS, no goofy cliches, and very nuanced. I've met few Brits that would try sheep brain, btw. Way to break the brits abroad stereotype
These videos are FABULOUS!
The video that encompasses everything, including Istanbul's delicious food, Gezi and Atatürk, is beautiful. Thank you
Absolutely love your videos💗
I love this so much ❤️❤️
Just discovered your channel, absolutely brilliant, reminds me of the 'lonely planet' travel guides of the 90's..❤❤❤
Awww man I’m so gutted it’s short though, I was enjoying it so much
Another great video malini
Very enjoying video. Thanks.
I was there two weeks ago and I loved it! Coming back in November and also thining of moving out there!
no matter conservative or secular, it exists in many other religions & other parts of the world. when we look at the statistics, even most of the Christians living in the western world are not even religious or conservative. everything has to be balanced. cultural tolerance key to social harmony, don't judge each other, just relaxs n enjoy your life.❤
Istanbul looks so dope. Really hope to visit one day.
U gotta go!
You have an astonishing charisma " the channel’s owner “
Loved it
The last part which as you say is very much surprising, i did not expect it to be like that. 👍
Malini, really excellent video. I believe Russia, like Turkey, is also transcontinental w/territory in both Europe and Asia. Yet, as you said, Turkey is a bridge between two worlds. Cant wait to visit!
You had me at follow the cat xx love the vlog
Fantastic footage and to hear the different guides perceptions of the culture and aged integration and acceptance of other faiths. Beautiful.

Very beautiful video 📷📷, ,❤️❤️💐💐💐👍
Great video Malini. Istanbul looks amazing - and the footage feels like a documentary rather than a show which is great - well done.
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@Malini.Angelica you're welcome
I love Istanbul.
I borned and lived in İstanbul. Turkish culture is turkish culture. Nothing like european, middle eastern or asian.
I agree a complex synthesis of cultures that cannot be compared with others.
Great Video!!!
Türkiyeyi istanbulu bir arap ortadoğu ülkesi şehri gibi göstermek istemişsin. Müzik seçimlerinden belli. Art niyetli vlog

Great video - I love your work. High quality, helpful/interesting content, great cinematography & not cookie-cutter/same old thing that permeates CZcams travel videos. 👍🏼❤️🌏✈️
