I like the narrator's style, he sounds laid back, easy going and not a single worry in the world! And that's how cooking should be!

No joke I was about to make cranberry sauce and thought the pear and ginger was intriguing! So, I just made this sauce with what I had on hand: Ocean Spray Fresh Cranberries, One Bartlett Pear, Sunkist Orange Zest, Simply Orange Juice, Organic Raw Sugar, A Cinnamon Stick, A Little Chinese Five Spice, Pink Himalayan Sea Salt, and GINGER LOVERS SYRUP! BooFreakinYah! AMAZING SAUCE!!! OMG!!!

This has been my go-to recipe for years! I made it the first time because my brother in law hates Chef John. He had no idea this was his recipe. Now that he knows, he still requests it each year. Thank you CJ for giving the best recipes.

Wow, this was delicious!!!! We made it for our church dinner for 100 people (and now for our thanksgiving meal). We underestimated how much people would like cranberry sauce and had to make a fifth batch on the fly, but we were out of pears. It was still good. The spices are AWESOME! Thank you. :)

This is my second year making it and it's got a little kick but not much. then again I used maybe a tsp (since I did a double batch) - I actually got requests to make it again this year. Its really delish - but I imagine you can leave the hot sauce out since it doesnt add flavor just some heat and it will still rock
