I met Isabelle Adjani in L.A 2017 in a Gelato shop where I was a server . It was a cold winter night with no customers. She walked in with her friend, I was relieved to see them because it was a lonely shift. She was piercing me with her beautiful blue eyes as I helped her choose her flavor. They both sat down and we kept eachother company for 30 minutes, we talked about the memory of the brain and its different capacitties.
Still so mesmerizing and beautiful as an older woman. I fell in love as she said "Goodbye" ❤️.

I remember the first time I saw Isabelle Adjani’s face: it was in 1977, I was in Brussels working as an au pair and her face was on the cover of a French magazine. OMG, she was the prettiest, most perfectly feminine woman I’d ever seen, I didn’t think anyone so beautiful could exist.
Her pretty makes me fall in love with her, so gorgeous ever she's a fever in her era.

Angelic... She's not only one of the most beautiful women in history, she's extremely talented as an actresses. You captured all her nuances, her courage to let it all go for a character. I watched Camille Claudel and Diabolique quite young and Isabelle impressed me so much, she was haunting.

Isabelle est un exemple d'ascension sociale, d'intelligence, de grande beauté, de talent, mais talent trop sous exploité à mon avis.. et même si beaucoup ne l'aiment pas ou sont agacés, ou n'ont tout simplement pas compris les failles de la femme venant de l'enfance.....ils ne peuvent ignorer l'aura et la fascination qu'elle dégage...Mais je peux comprendre qu'elle agace, elle a eu au delà du talent un destin extraordinaire, et ça peut générer une certaine jalousie. C'est humain!

Really? That's the only film of hers I don't own, because she barely says anything throughout it and barely changes her facial expression. If memory serves, she doesn't even smile once. There are many, many better examples.

She 's not. She may appear so to the younger crowd because she pretty much stopped working on a regular basis from 1983 on but she is still the recipient of 5 césars awards ( french equivalent to the oscars) and that's the unequivocal record. Plus two oscar noms, a berlin festival interpretation award and a myriad of prestigious theater and film awards from wityhin the french "business". Her superiority lies in the fact that aged 18 , she delivered a performance in a classical play by Molière ( our greatest classical playwright) at the "Comédie française'", france's national troupe and eternally put her stamp on that part . She became a nationwide celebrity as a phenomenon of talent FROM the theatre , not from cinema ( her success in that medium quickly followed of course). For this , she retains a prestige that nobody would dare question in france ( even if her later career has been somewhat disappointing). But underrated, she is not. Anyway , french current cinema simply doesn't boast a new charisma like this. And hasn't for quite a long time now.
