Thanks man. And thank you for making such a good kit and spending the time to have great instructions and videos to go along with it. It’s rare to see such attention to detail on the offroad world. Made the install super easy.
I have the 8 switch pro, and I completely understand not wanting to take your eyes off the road. The first 8 months i had to take a non-insignificant amount of time to figure out which switch is which. Then I finally figured it out by feel. I really wish there was an aftermarket version of the Gen2 Aux style switches.
Check out the kits from lvJ. I think they have a gen2 version. I wish I knew more about them before I got this kit. I would have gotten the gen2 kit for a cleaner install
Helio, this is irrelevant to the video but what is your take on reliability for a supercharged gen 1? I have a 2013 with 60k miles and want to supercharge it at some point but done want to sacrifice reliability since i plan to keep the truck for as long as I possibly can. Also have you driven a stock gen 1? If so, how does it compare to your supercharged one?
Stock gen1 is sooo sluggish. The 6.2 is the epitome of the lazy v8. For me it was too sluggish specially coming from a very peppy Gen2 with the TYv6. So supercharged was a must for me. But I wanted reliable power too Now there is a saying when it comes to supercharged Gen1s. Whipple is the one you Joyride and Roush is the one you want to take home. Roush supercharged trucks are conservative with power. Mine is only stage 1 and putting out around 425-450 to the rear wheels. So about 500hp at the crank. Very conservative so she does feel lazy, but when you stomp on it it goes and keeps going. Very linear power curve. Not like a TT engine that hits a peak and power just drops. Whipple trucks start at 600hp to the crank and go up. And the whipple trucks tuned to 700hp and up don’t last long before the whole engine goes. I know of at least one truck that went to 1000hp and broke its first run out. So you can supercharge and be reliable, but you need to be conservative with power.
I run 37s and about 400lbs of gear and rack in the back of mine so it’s not typical, but I average 9-10 mpg on pavement and 6-9 MPGs on dirt. Yeah she has a drinking problem. Gets worse with the higher the horsepower. I think those pulling 700 Hp can get as low as 6 MPGs on the street. But regular NA Gen1s don’t get much better if I’m honest. Most report 12-14 MPGs on the street and go down to 9 offroad anyways.
@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad yea i feel you mine gets 11.7 average and its my daily. But if i was in the single digits i would definitely think about getting a beater to daily lol
No, I have not found the source yet. Had my son spray the truck while I looked inside and nothing. We even had a few rain storms since then and dry. Lots of suggestions on the possible source. We just have not been able to find it.
Great Video, thank you for the compliments. I plan to share this on my website and on my Facebook Page.

This vid will be useful for me one day. Or not. Was fun to watch anyway! Thanks!
Thank for watching 🙏
Keith @LVJ is awesome!
Yeah he is. His kits address so many request from Raptor owners and his attention to detail is awesome.
@10:54 2 in the pink, 1 in the stink 😂
🤣🤣🤣It was a long day and I was tired.
I love gen 1 “how to” videos
The more idiot proof the better 😂
Right!! 🤣🤣
Thanks 🙏

@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad yes, I make a kit for the Gen 1 truck that utilizes the gen 2 switches and mounts above the sunglass kit.
Could you move the tow controller from left of the dash to the right and put the switches on the left side?
Possibly yes, but you would have to tap and extend the harness. Everything from the factory has just barely enough slack for its current location.

@@KeepItDirtyOffRoad definitely lots to consider 🤔 how’s the mpg on yours if you drive “normally” lol

Great video! Super detailed, did you ever find a solution to the water that was found in the door canal/flooring?
No, I have not found the source yet. Had my son spray the truck while I looked inside and nothing. We even had a few rain storms since then and dry. Lots of suggestions on the possible source. We just have not been able to find it.
