150cc Schwinn stingray chopper

- Schwinn stingray conversion with sachs FYM 150 motor, front end and rims also from sachs, pretty quick and also very light, some serious reinforing was required but wasnt too hard, reason for using front end off sachs was it gave me the speedometer and also front disk brakes and the rear assembley gave me the same sprocket tooth count and chain also drum brakes in rear, has electric start lights and so on. I am aware i will never be able to register it but was never my intension its going to be painted pearl blue with black and chrome trimmings, hope you enjoyed.

sorry guys I haven't replyed, I built the bike, changed accounts, the engine, back wheel, front forks and wheel are from a Sachs FYM 150 Express bike, I rewired the harness completely, the rest is from a Schwinn Stingray chopper push bike. the construction took about a month to complete it to where it is in tis video but that was a few years ago now, I have put a shit load more effort into it now and looks amazing, the whole thing is complete except I still need to fabricate a tear drop fuel tank for it
For those who ask where the fuel tank is in this video its acutually a remote control car fueltank hidden under the seat on the left hand side, you can just see it in the video, the muffler is custom made by myself, the engine is a high reving 5 speed so tho it might not be the biggest in cc's I guarantee it would beat the ass of the engine techaloy workhorse which is really only a glorified mower motor, currently its not for sale due to the effort I put in but I guess if the right offer was made I would consider

ro my research u are the formerly 2nd largest engine owner of this kind of bike, by that i mean u were the owner of a stingray with the 2nd largest engine now the current 3rd, mine is a 190cc techocy workhorse and is the current 2nd largest engine good work none the less

I ride Harleys but want to build one of these for my kids just flipping through CZcams for ideas and you nailed it! SUBSCRIBED! p.s just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions lol... but might try to rig up something with the throttle linkage to lower the idle I understand that will kill throttle response but hear me out before I could afford a hog I had a 1977 gl 1000 fully restored with Harley-ish batwing faring candy apple red and the pipes were made of metal fence post covered by crome stack tips for diesel pickup anyway when riding set idle as normal but in the bar parking lot of rod meets I had the idle set so low it loped and chugged like a hog (almost stalling ) all I did was set the idle really low at the carbs and then put a little tension on the throttle cable at the grip adjustment basically holding the throttle open just enough to bring idle up then when you are parked just back off cable tension nobody ever paid much mind to that old goldwing at meets.. until I started it that is! regardless Bad ass build man

the gas tank "is" the wheels (you put the gas into the tires) and so you can burn off tire oil as well... It's actually a quite in-genius idea now i wish i had came up with it

+John Harrington gasoline does not burn through water bottles or rubber however I don't believe the fuel using the wheels

this is what it felt like pedaling one of these bad boys down a hill. this bike had style and yes thats all it was but i fuckin love every part of it.

The wheels are off a Sachs 150cc road express bike and no customising just a bit of fiddling
this is cool as fuck!! you could most likely regester it as a moped or scooter if you put a headlight and mirrors.
+Taddy Mason This is a 150cc. In my state, a moped can be no larger than 49cc so that's out. A scooter can't be chain driven so that's out but really doesn't make any difference because anything above 49cc has to be registered as a motorcycle anyway.

I am planning on doing the same exact thing, but with an 80cc engine kit with racing parts.... if I can find that same engine will do the same exact thing as you.... but with a small NOS kit under left handle!!! if you know a cheap website I could buy the engine that would help and some info on the trouble/problems you had?

cool but the thing idnt like is that is not a bike anymore. u can't pedal if you wanted to. You might as well but a motorcycle or mini bike imo. im putting an 80cc on my stingray this week
