Wow, coming back to this video after watching the Berserk anime...you are 100% correct Matt, those non-boss enemies right at the start look EXACTLY like the minor demons from the Eclipse. They're just somewhat more colorful. Geez, someone at Treasure HAD to have been reading Berserk the day they designed them.
I clicked this expecting the usual: awesome commentary and a nostalgic game I loved as a child. What I didn't expect was THE HYPEST FUCKING GAME EVER. Man I gotta play this.
This game is, in every conceivable sense, purely awesome. The monsters are spectacular. The combat is intense. The weapons are visceral and satisfying. I need this in my life.
I want you both to know that after watching this, I immediately grabbed it on steam and started playing it with my fight stick. Woolie, you are way too good at this game, and I salute you sir.
I love how the sheer awesomeness of Alien Soldier is literally knocking Matt around the room =P Us Megadriver gamers in Europe knew of this game years ago, and yeah it blew us away also.
I like how you can feel the hype rising throughout the episode. At first Matt was skeptical but than that turned into anticipation. The hype levels are too extreme

The girl, known as "Seven Force Kaede", is noted for being based on the "Seven Force" boss from Treasure's previous Gunstar Heroes; Treasure even went as far as using a remixed version of that boss's theme (both games having been scored by Norio "NON" Hanzawa).
