Am not understanding on the calculation of water deficit. Where is the 10 coming from and the 30?
Hi sir I have a question
How the urine osmolality is increased by giving desmopressin in an hypernatremic patient
desmopressin will decrease water loss into urine, by the increased activation of aquaporin channels in the kidneys, more water will enter the plasma from the kidney, causing the filtrate lost in urine to have less water and therefore more concentrated, resulting in increased osmolality.
