- Check out this wild go pro helmet cam footage from my win at Lake Superior Performance Rally. This episode features TWO of my favorite stages from this event, SS13: Herman and SS14 Mt. Marquette. SS13: "Herman" was the second running of this stage and I was able to cut 12 seconds off my first running from earlier in that day.

Yes! On-board footage is such a rad point of view, especially when it's properly captured like this. You can really get that sense of speed with the trees becoming more and more blurred the faster he goes. Sweet rally stages!
I remember the first time I rode a properly fast snowmobile my first thought was "GTA:SA got it right the way your vision blurs"

Yes, the 6th gear runs were a tad unnerving, oh, or maybe the total slids in 4th and 5th going into the embankments......or maybe the it was the thought of the totaled car where Alex's arm was flailing out the window while rolling....hmmmm, MORE PLEASE!!!!🤯🙈

Not sure what Paul raced in Rally but i ran a Yenko Corvair and switched over to 250 Super Karts.....
@@benwarburton8112 MK1 850 Mini in local club events. Nothing fancy just bloody good fun drifting it through the bends. It handled like a go-cart.
You should look into a video game called dirt rally 2.0 it’s a dope sim game
The helmet cam will forever be the greatest view for onboards
The only thing I had against it is that it gets a bit shaky otherwise if the best view!!

Laws. Racing has been totally banned in Switzerland since 1955. The Isle of Man is the only place allowing a motorcycle race like the TT.

Was about to comment the same thing.
It's tricky to overcome the inertia yanking your arms around, but you have to be conscious of it as soon as you expect a crash and do everything you can to tuck in.
Maybe he did, and I'm not saying I could've done better ( I wasn't in the situation ), but still scary to see if you know the possibilities.
@@enigmaPL I personally think he should have had a window, net or something to tie his arms down, but I don't know if it was required or anything. 🤔
But yeah you need to react immediately and tuck your arms in. Since this can rip the arm off in the worst scenario.
If I am not mistaken I believe that they have limit straps on the fire suits now that help keep your arms inside the car

This rally is 20 miles from me, this is the 1st year in 5 years I couldn't go. Well done ken! Hope you come back next year

125 mph is fast on pavement and we have guardrails around most of the racetracks. It just seems insane to me going 125 mph on dirt through the forest. Ken and Alex certainly have some brass balls.

group b is nothing compared to the speeds today. wrc1 today hit 140 on dirt regularly, especially in Finland. A standard Evo 9 on Pirelli rally tyres in the modern age is quicker through a stage than a 500hp group b, granted with a good driver.
@@jamiegraham1754 I agree. Older cars back in the day couldn't handle as well such as like a i20. Wish they would make a new Dirt Rally with the newer cars. Better version of 2.0. 😂

4h gear is my favorite. Either he is about to shift down and take an knarly turn at high speed or he shifts up and blast through the woods even faster.
Ken, you must be MADE of 100% balls. The speed you carry into some of those turns is insane! I couldn't blink during the whole thing, and I'm only watching. Un-f'ing-believable!
To me, if you're driving and in control that's one thing, but to be in the passenger seat and just swallowing up what faith brings you... that takes bigger balls.
I swear I could only watch Rally content for the rest of my life and be completely entertained happy and content
