I made my Tornado V3 Black! I don't think anyone has ever done it before. I don't like stickerless cubes so this was a really rewarding project! #shorts
They don’t make a Xman tornado stickers and they definitely don’t have a sticker logo so yeah not possible. But also I don’t really care about logos I have always just taken them off cause they are distracting for me when solving
nice mod ! i would like to do this to my v3, however i only want to do it to yellow pieces as i prefer black opposite white for recognition. did the hot dye affect the surface of the pieces in any way that will provoke wca regulations at all?
I am going to give this another try TBH because the first try I messed up I used way too much acetone and basically melted the pieces. 2nd try was better but I learned a lot and want to try again. Use synthetic dye for sure, use low heat, and fine sand the pieces before dying. Yellow only should dye ok

It’s actually crazy how valkish it looks with stickers 😂 I just held them side by side. Black with stickers can make puzzles look way different. It has weilong gts2 stickers on it which were from the same era so makes sense
thats one of the reasons i did this on the external caps. if you can find the perfect acetone/dye ratio then give it a try, but I wouldn't recommend it. it's way too easy to melt the plastic. good luck if you try it!

And for regulations if you do it right and don’t melt the pieces it should be legal
