Nice hip bag, If you want to add a little dimension to your piping, insert a thin rope inside of it, just like when making handles. Then if you really want a challenge, put in the piping where it connects to the back as well. 😊

Nice bag! I personally would stitch the main piece to the backing with the cutout before stitching the cutout piece to the main backing one, so that way the stitching doesn't show on the back, but that's just personal.
What stitch spacing do you use on the patterns?
