Picked up the Grom. It’s fast, handles good, and is quiet which makes the dog happy.
It did really good at the skate park.

It's the best budget Chinese junker l have had yet. The major flaw of the truck is the direct drive line no slipper no center diff would of been great if they did that. The truck being heavy and powerful on 3s. It chews up the tiny little spur gear out drive in no time.

I don't mind Phillips hardware. They strip because most people use whatever driver they have on hand which usually is not the same size as the screw. Drilling and tapping either one ain't fun though.
between the economy and cars like this it seems the major players are gearing more towards the 100 - 200 price range for rc's to be competitive and sell cars its going to be interesting to see this battle play out see who does it better

I have 16208, paid very little for it, ~ 100 USD, bought 2 3S batteries and the dog loves it.
They want over double the $ for your version which I don't think is worth it.
The issue with these RCs is the so so average screws that come with it.
I lost 1 and had to find a donor, they're not your normal RC bits you have just lying around, but I managed to fix.
They want $315 AUD for this, which to me is far too expensive given I have a similar performing RC minus the metal chassis, which means more durable in the plastic re flex.
I modded the battery holder to allow for aftermarket 3S.
Undo the spring clip and invert it so the spring is on the top side, this now allows for taller batteries and you also need to shave some plastic off the clip, but you will have a fully serviceable quick release battery holder.

No MJX is the way to go for me I saw that Grom perform and it will not outperform that MJX. Run the MJX before you say that cuz you will have a totally different opinion about should you buy the Grom no MJX all the way.
