Day trip to St. Pete - MY FIRST VLOG!

- I didn't have any plans this weekend, but on Saturday I woke up to beautiful sunny and 75 degree weather here in Tampa - so I had to take advantage of the day! I took a day trip to St. Petersburg and ended up visiting the Dali Museum, and explored around the pier.
My first-ever vlog so please be kind about my videography skills LOL hopefully will have some more exciting ones coming soon, but wanted to share a regular day-in-the-life one in the meantime. :)

Where do I begin? Firstly, wow you’re beautiful! Not just physically, but your emotional intelligence, insight, spirit, you are such a force! I don’t typically lavish praise so easily let alone in this way, but you blow my mind every time I watch a video.
I want to confirm that your videos are very insightful especially for those that have some level of familiarity with a friend or family member that faces challenges similar to yours. My cousin who although a year younger than me has always looked up to me as a role model also has CP. I was the one of the few people in our family that really didn’t see his challenges as a barrier and I included him on many adventures growing up that I think most people just wouldn’t even entertain the idea of even trying. But I was always willing to try to find a way to work it out so we did. Long story attempting to respect your time; because we spent so much time together I got to see and learn things about him on a much deeper level than anyone. I learned about his fears, anxieties, and much of the nuance you talk about.
These things are so important to explore because it not only helps everyone else understand how we can learn to respect and perhaps help in certain situations but I think you get a lot of personal growth from it and hopefully it helps the learning curve for future generations.
Bonus; we get to learn more about you as an individual which the disability is just what may catch some people’s attention. We are staying for the other 90% of you that has nothing to do with that part of your identity.
I know I’ve been long-winded but what you’re doing here is important. It’s special, and it’s worthwhile and I’m so thankful you’re doing this. Your willingness to be vulnerable is going to empower so many more and I can’t thank you enough for your courage and hard work!!!!
Honestly was looking forward to this video. I enjoyed the art expo. Dali is fun for me in short burst. But can spend all day looking at art. I hope others are as lucky as me when dreaming. My dreams are vivid. They connect me to a past that I don't always know, a future that is often very bright, loved ones that I know I have not lost but am seeing again and many times my dreams help me put to rest a troubled mind. Mostly my dreams are in color which I have heard is not true but I do know of some that were black n white but very bright. Nothing like we see on TV. Thank you for the video.

Thanks for sharing this! I live in Minnesota, and our weather right now is at times below zero. We've got a snow storm forecast for tomorrow. What a sight it is to see such nice warm weather! We should be into that ourselves in two or three months. I'm a new subscriber and I enjoy your videos as your positive attitude is contagious. Being retired and living alone gives me a lot of time to myself. I also live in the country, so I very rarely get to see people. Congrats on your first vlog, I have been following you for awhile on social media. But I gotta say that it’s awesome to see you advocating for the CP community because my auntie had CP and she was always looked at or treated differently because she had CP even though she was an incredibly beautiful and smart woman. I’m a fan of you Chelsea and I hope you keep doing what you’re doing for the disabled community as a whole.

Wearing a jacket when it's 68 degrees in Florida sounds like California, too. In San Francisco, people wear heavy winter coats when it is 48 degrees. In Colorado, 68 degrees might be sweater weather. Even down into 50 degree weather, some Coloradoans still walk around in T-shirts. But it has a lot to do with where you grow up and live. When Darwin visited Tierra del Fuego at the tip of South America, snow was falling and the ship's crew was bundled up in coats and scarves and sat around a roaring fire. Meanwhile, the native people of the region were almost naked but sat 15 or 20 feet away from the fire and were sweating from the heat. (BTW, you have a gorgeous smile - something just about everyone is noticing along with your upbeat and fabulous positive energy.)

Hello Chelsea i just stumbled upon your CZcams shorts and i gotta say that you walk so well , i have a relative that has Cerebral Palsy and she's wheelchair bound she became fully wheelchair bound at just around her preteen years the last time i remember seeing her walking was i think 7 or 8 years old but that was with a mobility walker , it saddens me that she isn't able to use her legs😔. Keep up the great work girl , continue spreading the word that Cerebral Palsy doesn't make people with it any more different than anyone else put all the haters under the wheels like i always wish to do hahaha.

At 2:45 there is a video of you looking into a rounded mirror. There’s a Museum on Long Island that has several exhibits that are made up of rounded mirrors. The rounded mirrors are part of one of my favorite things about going to that museum.

From my experience - (55yrs) when we sleep our minds practice playing out scenarios of what it thinks life will be. In certain cercumstances and scenarious. If the mind is working on a problem when we goto bed, it finds a solution with our available resouces to fix the problem. Or at least it trys to, if we have previous trauma, esp. mental trauma then it's reserved and holds back. My .02 :)
