- "Ich sehe den Hund." This lesson is about the accusative case, which doesn’t exist in the English language. It is very important in the German language, though. This lesson gives you an idea of how this case works with helpful and simple examples. This video is definitely worth watching!

thank you so much girl
Abendessen is the dinner right? Abend is the part of the day when we eat dinner. So I don't understand the sentence where Abend is used as *dinner*
sehr gut
Sie sind am besten Duestch Lehrerin!
Du bist die beste Lehrerin fur Deustch.
Hi jenny, Shouldn't this lesson be added in other playlist as well. Nominative, accusative, dative and genetive which contains 20 videos. This also belongs there oder!
'Ich sehe den Hund' and 'den Hund sehe ich' are the same. However, if both nouns will be femenine/neutral, then this reposition of words in the sentence will not work, right? For example, 'Ein Mädchen sieht eine Frau' will not be the same as 'Eine Frau sieht ein Mädchen'.
Good question. Waiting for answer too.
You’re right, in that case it’s not advised to reposition the sentence.
In that case, you'll have to assume the sentence follows an SVO pattern.
Also, these sentences are clearly explanatory, and are rarely used in real life... Context will always leave clear who is seeing whom.
the best explanation ever😍😍😍 I had a hard time figuring this out. But how do we find if the objects or things are masculine or feminine??
We have to learn it, there are some rules for this
Hola jenni! Sigo tus videos Español - Alemán
Tienes otros videos para seguir traducido al Español?? Gracias!
Vielen dank jenny, you made it easy to lear german. But I have a doubt in this video mädchen is feminine we should use 'die' and it has written 'das'?
Danke, guten abend dear madam
Thanks for this lesson. I have a question. Why do we need to change the definite article ending for the direct object even if the sentence is in its normal order?! ( i.e: Subject + Verb + Object ). Sorry but this is something i didn't get. TIA.
I love you. Danke schön
I love youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ thank you sooooo so so much
Excellent video. As "Ich sehe den Hund" and "Den Hund sehe Ich" have the same meaning, do "Der Hund sieht das Mädchen" and "Das Mädchen sieht der Hund" also have the same meaning? Does "Das Mädchen sieht der Hund" mean that the dog sees the girl?
Du bist sehr nette Deutsch lehrerin. Vielen dank.
please can u tell me what is the difference between Der, Die and Das as it all indicate The in English. So my question is when, where is it to be use.
Danke schön
Danke Schon dear Jenny
Danke
Ich sehe eine gute Lehrerin, die so vielen Leute hilft.
Vielen Dank 👍👍 ( @Jenny, please reply whether the second part of the sentence is correct or not ..should it be Leuten ? Please explain the rule as well .. n deklantion I guess ..ughh so verwirrend 😪🙃)
May I know if there is a way to know the article just by looking at the noun?
There is no way of figuring the gender/article just by looking at the noun... There are a few rules for a few nouns, but they are by no means applicable for all of them.
There are no shortcuts... You have to learn them by heart.
thaaaaaaanks
You are best
Ich liebe sie.Danke.Du ist schon
wasup learned alot of german
Hi Jenny! Good to see you after a while. Stay safe!
omg thank uuuuuu
Merhaba akasya devam ediyormusun almancaya
Danke dir: your lessons are getting me great, i only miss, why you speak foreign languages $ the science languages, like german, english, japanese, greek, and chinese... seems like Karl Marx who died getting sleep... any way now i can say wunderschon things like "Ich hore auf mein ehrlickeit" als die Vatter Gotzeg Luther (Ein ablass fur ein ehrlichen) Love you filial (O.K. fraternal but filial) and hope you get viel movie oder kino, a lots, and many many filled chocolates..... "gelassenheit"
Toll,
What happens if one speak without artikels? for example:
Mann geht in Garage.
Hund beißt Frau.
Famile isst zu Abend.
Wie "Ich höre Musik" here there is no artikel and it is already correct. 6:52
"Musik" is without an article because it is referring to music in general not a piece of music in particular.
The other sentences don't make sense. You need an article because for singular nouns, you always need articles unless you are talking about a quantity or a concept like Wasser. Wasser schmeckt gut. Sport tut gut. Bewegung ist wichtig. Lügen sind schlecht.
I think it's the same as if you take it off the articles in English: "dog bites woman" -- can you understand? Probably, but it's odd and wrong. In German, it'd be worse than just odd, because you couldn't be able to tell for sure which noun is doing the action: Hund beißt Frau -- Is it "[der] Hund beißt [die] Frau" or "[den] Hund (is being) beißt (by) [die] Frau"? Yeah, it's weird imaging a woman biting a dog, but talking like this, you'll never know... :P
You speak English very good 👍
Hi Jenny,
You have missed a verb in the section Accusative case where you r trying to explain about:
Die Frau isst eine Apfel ( the woman is eating an Apple). In this sentence the verb is missing.
I am just a beginner. I think the verb is missing. Thanks for your lovely teaching
The verb is isst ( it is the verb essen, that changes in the second and third person singular, in isst. There are some verbs that change their vowel in the second and third person singular ).
Die maus frisst die katze so we cannot identify direct object and subject in this scenario but also there is no grammer mistake
am ı correct? or missing somethinks
Great video :-) Only missing info about the negative Kein / Keinen.
That’s dealt with in our kein vs nicht Video
@@lingoniGERMAN get em Jenny ! You rock.
Machen Sie bitte ein Video über DSD schriftliche und mündliche Prüfung 🥺❤️

Jenny, meine Deutsch Lehrerin 👩🏫
Thank you for your effort but how can we know the gender of a word?
What we learnt in nominative case about der,die and das is the same in accusative and other cases also. Only der, die,das writing method is changing-
Der-Den
Die-Die
Das-Das
❤❤❤
