Thank you for posting this. Every potential 1090/1290 owner should watch this video.
They have a terminology for this. Its called error by design.
Much appreciate making/posting this!
i have a this bike but its ridiculous how much work that is.
No wonder ktm's services are so steep at the dealer!😳 gotta pull half the bike apart to change a filter...honestly surprised that ktm approached it this way considering the go anywhere marketing of the bikes, thats certainly not a roadside or parking lot friendly service if something mucks up your filter during a trip
Thanks very helpful video, funnel web do a nice cleanable pre filter kit for this bike that I will install
Thanks for the video. Actually, I was thinking it would be more work the that. No big deal.
Does this apply to 2020 SAR’s? I know the ‘21+ have a much easier process by removing the storage cubby.
Great, now I want a high front fender on mine....
This is not difficult at all. It takes barely 10 minutes to take the fairings and tank off. It's not a big deal at all. Good information as usual
It took a 5 minutes video at high speed and editing, I don't think it will take a real 10 minutes. it looks very tedious
@@csiautodetail Well, I practice taking the fairings and tank off, disconnected it etc several times when I got the bike and practiced that a few times. The first time was taking me a bit
and 5 hours later you have cleaned/changed your air filter...
This is a freaking nightmare to change by yourself on the go in a long expedition. On my old BMW F650GS I could change the air filter in 5 minutes, stupidly easy.
LOL it's true a nightmare - anyone can watch and learn but most won't deal with it.
after one minute into the video I gave up trying to change this by myself.
too dificult, you have to disarm half of your bike in order to do it..
Thanks for the "how to". It's easier than it looks.... except for the fuel line coupler.
