Top clip has to be fitted to the trim prior installation.

How did you get that top clip back in? It looks like the whole metal clip should sit inside the plastic

How did you unclip it? Did you wedge it out like most panels/trim?

Pull from one side to be able to grab, just watch it carefully and will see.
