- This is a follow up from yesterday’s video. This video shows the results of grazing with high stock density. You’ve got to see the results to believe it. It’s really satisfying.

Thanks for taking the time to show what you’re doing. It’s very helpful. It’s amazing how cows can turn that forage into beef.
Thank you! Grateful for you!
Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching!
❤❤VIDEO ❤❤ I’m looking forward to seeing your next video ❤❤
Coming soon!
Greg just put up a video for 3 south poll heifers for sale in Indiana.
I saw that! Those auctions usually go pretty high. I just sold a really good bull I bought from him, but I didn't buy it through one of his auctions. Just off the farm.
Pastor... why you making the cows mad???? lol
I have been told I could do this with hay to get rid of my golden rod problem. Or should I say I was recommended to try it. Keep the ground cool too!
Oh, that makes sense...
Interesting
Have heard if the livestock trample dry brown thatch into the ground it moves the soil from a bacterial state to more neutral. Leafy weeds like bacterial soil while woody weeds like a fungal soil. Fungal soils remedy is to trample green plants into the soil.
Wow! Never heard that. Sounds like an interesting. What I did remember was brown leaves like a forest floor create a fungal environment, I believe. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@puresouthpasturesfarm6460 Dr Nicole Masters formulated the theory of how to correct bacterial and fungal soils. There is a five part series by Greg Judy when he was in Canada last year posted by Gateway Research Organization recently on CZcams. In part four near the end Steven Kenyon talks about pasture soil during the q&a.
@@rharrell1 okay. I’ll check it out. Thx
really enjoyed this video! what breeds do you have? what would you recommend for the South East, central Alabama?
Thank you for watching! So we have Red Devon and Red angus cows. Just pretty good commercial cows, not registered.
I bought a South Poll Bull from Greg Judy to add value to the cows I have
Our goal is to breed up to south poll. I love the breed. They are docile, moderate framed, fertile and efficient on forage alone. My problem is it did t make financial sense in my context to pay what South Poll females are going for. I’m better off adding value with a great bull and eventually getting there with calves… if that makes sense
South Polls were developed in Alabama by Teddy Gentry and one of his goals was to create a composite breed that was a great momma cow (maternal) in southern heat. (Heat tolerance).
@@puresouthpasturesfarm6460 are the red devon the ones that show the ribs more than the red angus?
@@user-kv2pt4lu9y the red Devon are the darker brown ones. The red angus are the bigger lighter brown that show more rib. The younger ones are all half south poll
Mama says she wants to see them being moved. And you know what mama wants ..........
😂
Did you see the move into last break?
You explain your objectives and processes really well. How come in your last video you said you thought the manure pats wouldn’t break down as fast as you wanted them to?
P.S. Nice sole !
Thanks buddy! I'm grateful for folks like you that will hang in and watch through all my rabmlings! 😂
