    For sale in our Chicago Showroom is this classic 1976 Ford Mustang II. In response to the 1973 Oil Crisis and a customer base demanding smaller economy cars, the Mustang II hit the scene in 1974. The car came in two trims: coupe or three door hatchback.
    The Mustang II on offer here is the coupe variant with the optional 302 V8 engine which made 140horse power from factory. This car has just 49,565 miles on the clock leaving plenty of casual road cruising to be had in the future. The black on red color combo is always an eye catching option and won’t disappoint at the local cruise nights.

    Good car, I still have one, very reliable 4 speed 8 cyl and easy to work on. Love it, sure beats the plastic they sell now.

    I'm a big fan of the Ford Mustang II, and I'm not ashamed to admit it! The Ghia version happens to be my favorite, and I really love the one featured in this video!

    People rip on them , but it was the right mustang for the time , no cars at that time had alot of power. Plus up close it was a beautiful car

    I had a 76 GHIA 4 banger, put about 2000 to 2500 per week and the only work I did on her was that recommended from Ford.

    Definitely a lull in the history of Mustang action. However, these cars are the main link to 50 plus years of uninterrupted production.
    Only Porsche has a h etter run.
    One can say Corvette, and I like them too, BUT the only 83 Corvette is in the museum and to me that doesn't count.

      Calvin Cooley I was fortunate enough to see the lone survivor 1983 Corvette when I took the Bowling Green factory tour during a family trip with my parents back in 1991.
      At the time, it was parked in the lobby of the factory. Seeing that car and the few ZR-1s that were floating around the factory were my best memories of the tour.
      While there, we also went to the National Corvette Museum which at the time was operating out of a temporary location in a strip mall and trying to raise money for their current location. That was very neat, too.
      I have not been to Bowling Green since but really want to go back.
      By the way, when the sinkhole opened up at the National Corvette Museum, my biggest concern was that 1983 Corvette. I was so happy that it was not a casualty of the incident although it was uncomfortably close from the looks of the video taken after the incident. It would have been heartbreaking if that car had gotten destroyed by the sinkhole.

    NO raised white letter tires on a Luxury Ghia. What were they thinking? Only thin lined white walls or the look is bogus!

    • @holiday-td6hx
      @holiday-td6hx Před 5 lety +4

      Unreliable? In what way or are you just spreading rumors? I had one that was brand-new I had the first one in the city I lived in and loved the car. I only traded it in due to the fact I was pregnant for our 3rd child. Sorry I traded it in and this car was AWESOME and far from unreliable.
      Just because you didn't like the Mustang II doesn't give you the right to say the car was unreliable.

    • @joejones9944
      @joejones9944 Před 4 lety

      I would like to know what You mean by " Unreliable "?????? I remember these cars very well and just like any car, they will hold up and last for years, if You keep them serviced well, as You have to do with any car!! They were still very commonly seen on the streets here in North Alabama and middle Tennessee as I remember seeing them all the way up through the early 90s , while I was Cruising the roads as a Teenager in My 1978 COBRA

    • @dandearborn727

      I've owned 4 of these cars and all were very reliable. The hype of bad car perpetuates by people who know nothing about a Mii.

      @@dandearborn727 I had a Mustang II for three years in high school. I was the only girl at my school who could drive a stick. Unfortunately the clutch weld broke during a Ford Factory strike and I had to drive it with a Camaro racing clutch for about 4 months. My left quad ended up larger than my right. My mom couldn't drive it. I had the V6 engine.

      so what? a gen 1 golf GTI smoked nearly all american cars with engines more than twice as big as its own. but that doesent make them bad or uninteresting cars.

    • @mistx7115
      @mistx7115 Před 6 lety

      true But I would not call the Mustang II a good car even forgetting about power.

    • @dmer-zy3rb
      @dmer-zy3rb Před 6 lety

      hard to say ive never driven one. but it has undeniable things going for it (at the time it came out): very cheap, very good looking inside and out, didnt use much fuel for an american car of the time and the space inside doesent look completely horrible for that type of car either.

    • @mistx7115
