SCPs are so great, its the biggest community-driven web project, well it used to be anyway there is over 4000 different entries made by different people all over the world. I remember my friends and I would make them during lunch at school and try and submit them on the site
It is pretty awesome. Happy that it's getting some love here.
As of now, there are over 6000 SCPs and lots of Tales, Canons, Groups of Interests, Hubs, etc. etc.

I wholeheartedly recommend for the entire Chicago Reacts crew to react to more SCP content, with recommendations for creators like TheVolgun for more comprehensive readings of SCP Articles, whereas creators like TheRubber are for more condensed and simplified readings of SCPs.
I would recommend then react to scp explained and scp goi (group of interest)
Same i'd love to see the mindsets and reactions from all of the crew with so many different personalities it would be really interesting
Rubber gets way too much wrong or just omits basic info entirely. It’s a shame cause I like his style, and the alternatives are boring garbage like Volgun just narrating the entire multi-paragraph article word for word. There was one great SCP introduction that included a well-explained example of every type of SCP, called something like “an introduction to the terrifying universe of the SCP Foundation,” but I’m unable to find it again.

@@maryjoygelizon4268 No, but there is something similar. The UIU (Unusual Incidents Unit) is a branch of the FBI in the SCP Universe, which handle cases that aren't extreme enough for the Foundation to get involved in. (or they call the Foundation if their case gets out of hand)
The MIB is a perfect comparison to the SCP Foundation: they contain things that would disrupt mankind, and modify your memory if you witnessed any of it, creating cover stories and lies about what “actually happened.”
There _is_ a Mobile Task Force named Delta-0 ("Men in Black").
If y’all plan on getting deeper into this I definitely recommend the exploring series videos on the various groups of interested definitely flushes out the world a lot before getting into the individual SCps imo

The Men In Black secret agent vibe is very intentional. The files themselves often have tabs and addendums that say Access Granted when you open them, there are often warnings that if you continue reading a file you will be subject to disciplinary action or have your brain wiped, as well as the [[REDACTED]] and black bars to restrict us readers from knowing certain elements of the stories, but its implied that there is more to learn if we had higher clearance.
The Volgun's videos are often straight readings of SCP files, and feel like a seminar or lecture given by a researcher to teach you about them. The Exploring Series gets into proper deep discussions about what SCPs do and their inspirations, philosophies and histories. Evan Royalty has made a few videos about MTF military units going in to identify stuff, playing out like short military thrillers. There are a few channels that do animations too, but often they can leave out things and be confusing unless you know the story already.

I reccoment the vid "things Dr. Bright is not allowd to do in the fundation", it is the more lighthearted part of the scp universe, compared to the existentialism that is the norm
But will they get most of it? The list mentions a lot of SCPs that they mostly don't know.

I think the Confinement series is one of the best ways to get into SCP if you never heard of it organically before. It catches your interest in the universe before any lore dump that might overwhelm.

The SCP Foundation is kinda like the Men in Black organization...but on steroids, a Monster Energy drink, and is depressed. The SCP universe is a crazy place full of laughs, cries, weirdness, craziness, depression, happiness, awesomeness, coolness, and excitement(and so on.) The SCP universe is a great universe to get into and Hollywood movies should be made from. There are so many SCP's that deserve, or should get movies made of them.
This is a great video to show that many people don't have an attention span anymore lol
I think this video is very cool... to people that have seen SCP stuff before. Someone completely new won't understand why there's the "need" for all the secrecy and protocol regarding SCPs.
IMO it would have been better if there was another video showing a few interesting/weird SCPs before this... Just presenting the solution without knowing the problem isn't really that interesting.
This is not a complaint about the channel btw, I know there's no way for you guys to know this stuff before watching.
Id like to add the list of things Dr. Bright is not allowed to do, or his background at the least, SCP-963. Or more of The Volguns videos. Makes it feel like you are another scientist in the foundation in a lecture from him.
Unfortunately, the List has been deleted and has not been archived. It's still accessible, but the only thing that's left is an explanation as to why it's gone.
Once you get into world of scp you are going to get more and more curious some channels I recommend are explore series,dr.bob,the rubber,scp illustrated
I'd love to see Chicago react to Dr brights rules. That they're not allowed to do. It's a lot more Light hearted than the darker side of the scp.
Idk what they say, chainsaw cannons ARE the solution, it will NOT be right out.
The Dr Bright's rules need a deeper understanding of other SCP's to be truly appreciated.

Personally for SCP reactions I think Dr. Bob would be best, he intro's his video's with a short story with the SCP in use before he gives the explanation, he also usually goes for the less popular or widely known SCP's

As much as I’d love to watch them react to eclectic, I don’t they’re her cup of tea. She’s seemed incredibly bored throughout the whole video. I don’t mean to be a sick or upset anyone, it’s just scp has a niche audience and I don’t that her type of video.

As of this moment, the SCPs that can be browsed extend to SCP-6999. This video was only made 3 years ago, but the wiki has grown explosively since.

Whoever recommend this pretty much put you into an introduction tutorial of the SCP foundation if you wanted entertainment I mean this is considered form of entertainment but there's a couple other channels that do a more fast-paced and in your face kind of a approach to explaining this video is more formatted towards the serious inquirer someone who wishes to dive deeper and participate in the foundation

Oh lord, starting on SPC content. Be prepared for the existential crisis, horror, infohazzard etc... Shit gets deep real quick. I know people who have legit had a mental breakdown after reading some of the ones that question reality / the psyche. Nothing major that last more than a day or two where they stop overthinking it. But it shows there are some really good authors in this community.
My favorite is SCP-184 and the SCP-001 proposal that goes with it explaining the universe we are in, has been expanded by it and the outer edge of the universe is really screwed up because of it. SCP-5000 is also great, but requires ALOT of background info to be known by the reader to really enjoy it properly.
TheVolgun is a great channel for SCP content. Another is "The Explosing Series".

Highly suggest the volgun, the guy who made this. The videos are readings of the real documents and its alot more in detail and can get really creepy n feels like you're getting briefed for a new scp you'll be working with. I feel that they're more authentic of it n just better over other scp channels
