Luke Alexander the joke was him comparing dissecting a frog to analysing a joke. When you analyse a joke no one laughs cos you’ve just killed the joke and it is no longer funny, in the same way as when you dissect a frog no one laughs and the frog dies. It’s not hard to understand
That's what I thought it meant, so no, I didn't miss the point. I like analysing jokes and no frog metaphor is going to change that. And it's worth noting that the frog metaphor is pretty weak considering how useful autopsies are in medical science.
