- Noir Alley - Bad For Each Other (1953) intro 20240526 by Eddie Muller shown on May 26, 2024
From TCM's Noir Alley (Saturdays at Midnight ET and Sunday 10am ET) hosted by the Czar of Noir, Eddie Muller.
Classic Eddie. Now I really want to see this.
Love noir❤😊
Thank you !❤ luv lizabeth Scott .🎭🎥⭐️
Glad I could help.
Great intro... the film seems to have been panned by critics, but I feel it had its moments. If nothing else, it shines a light on the way society views different social classes, both then and now.
One of the worst films I’ve ever seen. Not noir. It’s like Eddie is purposely showing awful films. Thank you for always posting these. I really appreciate it
I know it's because he's dealing with rights issues to show films.. like i wanted him to show other noir films to show that are not on noir alley that i saw on youtube like the big combo and call northside 777 which this month it's going to be shown on noir alley on the 15th but i believe he's dealing with what films to show on noir alley...
I don't understand why this film is noir... i didn't feel this was noir and i wasn't paying attention to this film. I didn't understand what was going on
They said it was more melodrama. Possibly because of the director?
@@user-me8zm8wk6y no he said it was the cast that made it noir which are charlton heston and as well lizabeth scott who was in the strange love of Martha ivers even though there was a reason why it was a noir film because of the story and shady characters and the world and place they live in.. not this film i couldn't understand what was happening in the movie.. so yeah it is not for me..
Thanks for posting! I'll give this a miss, however: can't really watch Lizbeth Scott, and as for Heston, the best one can say about him is - great shouders! He's always somewhat boneheaded. In "Ben-Hur" CH completely missed the homoerotic relationship of his character with Masala, played by Stephen Moore, who wiped the screen with him.
Hah-hah! Well, I give Heston more credit than most I think. But never a favorite actor. Did a good enough job in Planet of the Apes (1968), though, right? And good in Will Penny (1968), too. IMHO of course. Lizbeth Scott wasn't a powerful actor, but I give credit to anyone who tries to make it in the movies. And she knew her limits, which itself is a testament to her intestinal fortitude. And I liked her lisp!
That's Stephen Boyd, you twit! And the Academy apparently didn't think he wiped the screen with anybody, much less Heston.
