Just imagine what would have been Jason on that stage....
He would have stole the show
From what I've read, he couldn't even finish recording the album because of that terrible disease. 😢
what happened to jason was one of the most tragic things that happened in rock’n’roll.
Saw this tour in Philly and it was a good show but if Jason was playing it would have made my millennium! Just royally sucks what happened to Jason…life can be cruel and really unfair sometimes!!!
😢
I wish Dave would have stuck to his hard-rock sound instead of experimenting on the followup which was Your Filthy Little Mouth in '94 but I still respect him for doing it. He wouldn't be Diamond Dave without taking some risks along the way.
Dave is and always be the greatest frontman of all time....diamonds are for-ever....!!!
There's not a guitarist on the planet that would not give up his spot to have Jason back in action ....damn ALS !!!
I would've LOVED to see this!!! I was 7 tho :(
I was there in Rotterdam (Ahoy) on the opposite of this video point of view. 🤗🤗🤗
Joe Holmes did great playing these songs live
Playing Becker, Halen and Vai Parts on pretty short notice. I saw this tour was gutted about Jason at the time.
As much as I like Joe, I wish Jason would have been able to play on this Tour.
Me too
i`ve just listened again to some stuff from "A little ain`t enough" i gotta say that albums grows on me,first time around it like flew by my ears..now i really dig that stuff,i`ve been transcribing some parts from "drop in the bucket" from becker`s aim clinic. Title song is really great and refreshing,i mean the riffs are driving and sound damn fine with distortion, becker delivers a great solo...
Cant imagine how awesome this tour could have been with him along...
David without Eddie just aint right....RIP BROTHER
Imagine how good this would have sounded with Jason Becker.
Yep 😢
THANKS for posting this!
my fave track of Dave's,love it.
This could easily have been on Eat em and Smile or Skyscraper...I was a bit disappointed with the rest of the album..it didn't really have the party rock vibe of the first two..
Love this vid.
Yes, it is... Who would've thought that two of Van Halen's future lead singers would be playing at this same gig. :)
That aside, David Lee Roth can work an audience better than anyone else I've seen live. Greatest frontman of all-time.
Who were they?
@@JosephLopezDearborn Extreme, the bands lead singer was Gary Cherone, the singer on Van Halen III and then of course DLR would be can in the picture after him (Gary’s band opened up for this entire north american tour)
Sad that Jason Becker fell to ALS.
Thank you. More please?
Bless Jason Becker
I went to see David Lee Roth on this tour which was aptly titled " A Little Aint Enough Tour " but I'm not too sure who played with him on the night we went as there was quite a few line up changes on that tour if i remember correctly...
It was on a Friday the 22nd February 1991 at the SSEC Glasgow...
The only reason i know this is through cross checking with my friends who were there with me & checking on the internet but as far as the line up goes it says that it was Gregg Bissonette was on Drums his brother Matt Bissonette on Bass Guitar & Jason Becker was on Lead Guitar for the Album but nothing is mentioned about who played with David through the tour...
To be honest i wasn't a huge fan of DLR but i did like Van Halen so i went along with my partner at that time & my best friend from school & his Mrs in the hope of hearing a few Van Halen tracks but what we got was a great all round show...
David has always gotten flack for not being more of a Vocalist than the Showman but on that night he was both & put in a phenomenal performance...
Was anyone out there that night in Glasgow, Scotland that knows the line up that night...
Every time i check on the internet all i can dig up is the Set List but not the Band's Line Up!..
Its the only Gig I've ever been to that I've not known who the Bassist & Lead Guitarist were!
Remember this was many moons before CZcams/Facebook etc were now you can literally post footage of the Concert while you're there...
Any info would be appreciated...
Joe Holmes was the guitarist for the entire tour. Todd Jensen was the bassist.
plus:
Greg Bissonette (d)
Brett Tuggle (k)
Desi Rexx (g)
RIP Tug 🙏🏼
I was there at Glasgow.
cinderella was on head lining arena tour it was bombing so bad they just subbed dave in as headliner and they opened the rest of the shows
@docsdomain Desi Rexx played a handful of shows on the European leg of the tour. There is a video on CZcams of David Lee Roth performing "It's Showtime" from Whitley Bay in 1991. You will see Desi Rexx performing there. Desi Rexx is also shown in the ALAE tour book.
If this is the show where Extreme opened, I was there. Pretty good show.
I love this song and the album ruled. But i thought DLR had a rhythm guitarist on this tour. I had heard years ago his name is Desi Rexx from the band D'Molls.
Odd that DLR picked on Randy Rhoads in the old days and he got one of Randy Students on guitar there Joe Holmes.
That was Eddie not Dave
@@JM00237 it was Dave even randy girlfriend said Dave poked at him and Eddie would
Just smile and
Laugh.
Don't know who's on guitar but he's doing a pretty good job...
Is it Joe Holmes?
@@sixstringsensei6673 Joe Holmes played guitar on tour. I saw the tour. Shame that Jason couldnt make it, but Joe did marvelous job on guitar on that tour.
This proves that Shawn Michaels doesn't need Marty Jannetty...
rite on.... musta been tough for dave.
Nice video but i was looking for a DLR show with J Becker at guitar, its that possible?
doesnt exist
Nope. Jason got ALS right before the album was finished. He completed the album, but was unable to tour.
Is Joe Holmes left Ozzy guitarist.
Jason Becker would have played guitar if only he didnt get ALS he would have been the new van halen
Am i the only that say roth is wayyy better live solo then fronting VH ??? HMMMMMM
Nope! I think Dave's music solo way surpassed the music he did with VH in almost every song. I like the first 5 albums of VH, but for the majority of them, they're quite ordinary if you're honest. However the stuff he's done with Vai, Becker and Sheehan has been fucking incredible! And, seeing as though I know I'll get absolutely torched for that, I think musically VH developed into a much better band with Sammy. Especially having Sammy as an additional guitarist who could actually play in his own right.
Just goes to show music is in the ears of the beholder as I do not agree with any of that. I love roths debut album and the second is good but too keyboard heavy. Van halen with hagar. Good, but safe. However, the first 4 albums with roth are amongst the best heavy rock albums ever and surpass vh with hagar and rota's solo stuff
No since he never toured with DLR.
JOE HOLMES is bad jason is the best and can play only this song
JOE HOLMES is amazing - bad , you potato head .
Not even VH would compare to, if Jason had played on that your.
