All of the covers look interesting, but I do think that the American covers are the best because of how accurate they are to each tribe, while the Chinese ones look very cool, I can barely tell which dragon is which tribe, plus I love that they don’t look too realistic or too cartoony

I think the American ones are my favorite. Not only because it's what I grew up with, but the others have very classic dragons, which takes away from the iconic WOF dragon style that's so damn good. The feel of the dragon designs feel so lovingly made and unique.

I wouldn’t trade the American covers for the world, but the lighting on some of the Chinese covers? Incredible. Especially for Turtle-while it doesn’t make sense for him to be backlit (as opposed to Darkstalker), it’s absolutely gorgeous.

Personally, as someone who grew up with the American covers, the German covers look really cool and the Chinese/UK covers are great and all but they just don’t have that feel to them that makes the dragons “sentient”. Like, I love the other covers, it just feels like they are portrayed more “animal-y”, like they don’t have thoughts or feelings, just instincts. But idk, that’s just me being a weird art nerd.

I’m getting mixed emotions about these book covers, I mean yes the modelling and the art is amazing, but it defeats the purpose of the books, which is that the dragons are more human than your average dragon. These covers just make the dragons look like mindless beasts.

@@raptorbirdgaming5623 the first one is ‘Wake me up’ but it’s the instrumental version, all songs in the video are by Avicii. He was most of my child hood songs :,). Sadly, Avicii committed suicide in 2018. At least he is in a better place and didn’t have to deal with Covid.

The German are my favorite, they really captured realistically how I envisioned the dragons, but I also like the second series covers for the Chinese/UK version too. I think my issue with the first series in the Chinese/UK is they don’t look lively, more like paintings in a museum or those old 3D Pokémon cards. The eyes lack the soul that all the others have.

I really love the foreign designs, as far from what they are with the actual art style of Wings of Fire, there's just that really cool and sick design to them. Some of them seems a lil uncanny but that just adds to the interesting part of them.
The Chinese versions of the first 4 are all just coming at your face-

I'm an Asian but i grew up in America, and im shocked of the differences of the Chinese covers vs. the normal American covers im used to- but the German is way different in my opinion and i like the American dragon covers best
The Chinese and German ones look very cool and detailed, but the original ones just have a charm to them ya know?
Also I think they fit the mood of the books better, like sure they have wars and dark themes and all, but it's hard to imagine some of the Chinese/German designs with some of the more slice of life or light hearted moments in the books
I feel like the Chinese covers very closely mimic traditional Chinese dragons, which I think just doesn’t do the original dragons diversity any good.
But you have to admit, German Book 4 cover looks better than any American WoF cover in history- And turtle for the Chinese cover is cool-

But no seriously- it was interesting to see the multiple different types of dragon interpretations- and some of the poses and atmospheres of the covers completely changed. That’s super cool!
⟟ may be biased, but ⟟ like the american covers best. The lighting on the others are beautiful, but in the American ones you can tell whats going on ⏃ lot better. And the classic dragon look goes along with the description of the dragons in the books, and is just more visually appealing to me

in Italy they made the saga that contains the main 5 and a Winglets with a cover different from the others
i really like the german covers tbh, while they're a bit strange being associated with sentient dragons, but they're very folktale-y and the unique shapes in the designs look really cool. i, for some reason, like how they drew glory and clay. a lot. for no reason, they look just... cool haha
however the american ones would probably still be my favorite. the colors, the soft backgrounds and the character designs, the unique style... it fits really well that the others just don't have.

I actually really like the german covers! they are so interesting and a good mix of realistic and animated. if they ever made a 3D wings of fire movie, I think those designs would look really cool! but I do like American covers the best.
I think everywhere has its own style! I love the German, the Chinese unsettle me a bit and the American feels like comfort being the one I'm used to!
Chinese clay looks like he's attempting to do the pog face. Amazing.
However detailed and amazing the other book covers are, the American version really brings out the fact that these books are meant for children and young teens. They're not too detailed, but they're not too simplistic, making them look good and efficient. (+, the language used in the books definitely wouldn't fit some of the detailed book covers, it'd make the book look like it was made for adults)

Honestly they look nice, but they take away from it too. The dragons are supposed to look more human and intelligent and cartoonish, not mindless realistic beasts. Some of them seem to be changed to fit culture which takes away from how unique they were prior to it.
I personally like the American covers the most, it gives each tribe a really unique design that can be altered to fit each dragon, all of the covers are cool though in thier own way =D

I love the detail that Starflight grabs the logo in his German cover but one thing I never really liked about them is that you can't really see wich characters they are, they could pretty much be any dragon. Okay yeah, Glory kind of has her Standart colors and Sunny has her green eyes but the rest isn't that easy to recognize or not recognizable at all

Personally the American covers are my favorite, I like the way they portray the dragon tribes. For me the style of the covers just appeal to me more. They are less realistic and they are more colorful and bright(idk how to describe them).
