No it can't be on both sides....so the debit side will be the balance carried down and the credit side will become the balance brought down since the debit side have a lesser account

Can the balance brought down be on both sides? For example if the bank column on the credit side was bigger than the bank column on the debit side
No it can't be on both sides....so the debit side will be the balance carried down and the credit side will become the balance brought down since the debit side have a lesser account
