Every day I get so many emails and comments asking why you can’t locate the music I use or find it using Shazam. I purchase music licenses for almost all the music you hear in my videos. I buy them them from various royalty-free production music sites and most of the time they don’t list the performer because it’s music made only for film productions with an audio watermark throughout the entire track, unless you purchase the single-use license for $50-100 per track. I use a lot of opera so often I’ll reference the opera but I won’t be able to direct you to a recording of that specific performance that you could stream or buy on iTunes or Spotify. Hope that clears things up and thank you for appreciating quality music.

To me what this girl describes as passionate love sounds more like the thrill of being in a relationship where you’re insecure, the emotional state of wanting and yearning someone just because you are not sure they will always be there, that strong desire… I don’t believe that’s what passionate love is, but it is what many people think passionate love is… I think the thing we get wrong about love is that it’s not a yearning, it should be a safe place, a place where you feel freedom to be yourself and still be wanted, needed and have a purpose, not just be yearned after. Love should be a place that you consciously build with someone, and it takes work, it doesn’t just happen, it takes emotional work, emotional healing and that’s something people don’t like nowadays, working for things, we are made to believe things are ready-made, but what truly makes love wonderful is that it’s a team effort, it’s something you built with someone, at least… that’s my humble opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes, love is a decision you continue to make over and over again that you will respect the person. That often takes sacrificing your own ideas. You put aside your own will for the combination of your two wills. This is no small feat. Love is not for cowards.

I completely agree! I've been married for 42 years and I have found that true love is a decision and a commitment. Respect for your partner and respect for yourself go hand in hand. I believe that we enter into a relationship with initial feelings of infatuation but over time we begin to get to know better not only the weaknesses in our partner, but also in ourselves. I believe that it is this knowledge that brings about unconditional love. When both partners can see each other through the eyes of unconditional love, I think that is true love. II also think that this is a constantly evolving process as coming to love and understand ourselves and our partner takes a lifetime.

Aha- yes! I think that’s what made me a little sad about this video. She seems to be such a nice thoughtful person, but it sounds like she is equating the rush of a new relationship with passion. That desperate obsession you have at the beginning of a relationship would be terribly exhausting if it didn’t evolve into something more sweet and stable.

Well said Irene. I'm married 44 years and relationships are work with ups and downs as you grow and change. I find that many, not all young people don't want to put in the work and end up divorced instead. They think the grass is always greener, but all the're doing is changing the lawn and facing similar issues to upkeep it.

I have been married to my Australian husband (I am English) for 37 years and we are still on our honeymoon, we are so aware of how rare we are and it's a shame not to see it more. We don't argue much, but if we do we NEVER lose respect, we have never called each other names or put each other down, or sworn at each other, we argue about the subject that needs resolving, nothing more. Names and putting down is what you will remember, not the subject you argue about, names wound and scar.....why would you want to do that to someone you love?
Romance is not expensive presents, it's getting into my car and finding a sticky note on the steering wheel with a love heart on it, the little things and we are still like that all these years later. 🥰

my now husband and I have been together for 10 years. we met in our early 20s; he was Italian on a working holiday visa in Australia and I was a uni student at the time. We met when we were working at separate restaurants across from each other on the same street; he would bring me coffee every time he saw me working even though I was terribly shy haha. Anyway, one day I come into work and I noticed him in blue jeans (unusual because his uniform is all black) and I walked up to him and he told me it was his last day working at the restaurant and that he only had 6 weeks left in Australia before going home to Italy. After some talking, we exchanged numbers and agreed to catch up for coffee outside of work considering we had known each other for 3 or so months and barely had a conversation. What is crazy about this story is that, after I finished talking to him I entered my back office, checked my roster and I wasn't meant to be working that day- I had come in on my day off by accident on his last day. Anyway, our love story in the early days was VERY turbulent. He barely spoke English, came from a very different socioeconomic background from me, also being im asian and he European- our upbringings were completely opposite so we faced issues typical of interracial relationships, as well as my family not approving of him because of his lack of education and him not being Australian. in addition, we were both immature, jealous, insecure and toxic as you often are in your 20s. I ran away from home to live with him and my mum for a while disowned me for my disobedience until we finally came to an agreement that she would only meet him if I graduated from uni- which I did. We broke up for a little while at our 7 year mark but after time apart realised that we still loved each other despite the toxicity; so with the choice of being together we decided to see a couples therapist together (also during the time we weren't together we had individual therapy). At present, we are the happiest and healthiest we have ever been because that's the thing- we always loved being together, we make each other laugh and I can spend all day everyday with him and vice versa- he is my best friend but we were riddled with individual issues that we projected onto each other, and also didn't have the tools necessary to identify and give each other what we needed in times when we were triggered or upset. Therapy helped us because it gave us the opportunity to be better to ourselves and each other, and offer us the objectivity necessary for us to acknowledge our weaknesses in order to change them. This comment is an essay but I guess my point is that its possible to turn a toxic relationship into a healthy one- but it takes A LOT of love and hard work- you must be willing to fight for love. its not all easy like fairy tales want you to believe but passion and a healthy relationship is possible if you are willing to work for it

@@NyreeAlana yes it was 100% needed. Also time apart and being able to step away helps to look at a situation more rationally with less emotion. First of all as a native New Yorker I have to say Manhattan is only one small borough of NYC and people think it's the only place to live. I live in Queens and went to school and worked in Manhattan for many years but actually married a man I went to school with ( we did not date or socialize in school) and connected with years later via a mutual friend. We are now married 44 years. Even in Manhattan there are many little neighborhoods within the city where people have lived and raised generations of families. Not everyone is a cold, driven person who is only out for themselves. Sometimes it is luck, opportunity, being in the right place at the time, many things come together to meet the right person and you have to be in the right frame of mind to receive the signal.

I am no longer in the market so to speak, but I appreciate that Southern European men seem more willing to put themselves out there. They aren’t afraid to approach a romantic interest and don’t let it get them too down if they get rejected. Some women think it’s “too much” but I admire that confidence and bravery in seeking out romance. We would not need dating apps at all if people were not too proud or too shy to risk getting shot down. ❤

To get lucky in love is the best blessing of life. When we are young (now at the age of 74) we think it is a puzzle to be solved. Perhaps the best path is to live an authentic life and hope you get lucky one day. Yes it is true some passionate relationships can be very toxic, but my experience is you can have passion and true love. When you are 30 years old there is no way you can understand how the journey of life is quite long and has many different chapters. I am so happy for Kylie that she found her "match".

This is a good video. I am a New Yorker and a romantic. I met most my girlfriends just walking down the street. Trusting my intuition by observing the girl for a few moments. My experiences taught me that finding love is possible. However, it is increasingly tough now than it was say 10 years ago. Things seem different, people have a charge in them, probably from social media outrage. And needless to say everything has gotten more expensive, so the hustle in people has gotten more intense.
Dating apps are fun and they do work, IF one is willing to put forth who they are and what they want from the get-go. I do that.
Anyways, I really enjoyed the conversation. That girl was candid and it felt like she was in touch with her life experiences and what they taught her; self awareness. I want to see more of her. Please bring her back.
I am happy to get women's prespective on love and relationships. Thank you.

This is an interesting video. I wondered as I watched it how much your opinions have changed since the filming of it. My opinion is... Passion comes in bursts. It is necessary, but it cannot be The Foundation. Real love, not 'story love', happens between two whole honest caring people with similar interests and values, who each want good for the other. Real love looks to the future, not just the present. Real love is not self-serving. Both people will sometimes be called upon to willingly make sacrifices. Real love is not something to fill in our gaps, not something to 'complete' us. It is not a commodity. It cannot be grasped for. Real love is enduring, when the people involved are. And, in my experience, going from friendship to Love is a great path.

A lot of men & women get bitter as they age from bad relationships & they lose the wonderment & desire for love. California is incredibly boring for a culture seeking individual, no less cold in emotion / relationships than NY. I have lived in both for extended years. In fact, NY is a much warmer, kinder place for young people seeking love as it’s rooted in more culture. California is hyper focused on celebrity and brand. I have lived in both places and I recommend anyone from either place to spend some time in Europe to understand a bit more about civility, culture, tradition, caring and love.

Agree. I am originally from upstate NY (beautiful, peaceful and with its own special culture). I have lived in CA for the last 10 years after 20 years of living in Asia and the Middle East. I find it a very bland place. The weather in southern California is the best part of the populated areas. Rural California has some wonderful sights, however.

My wife (of thirty years) and I have a weekend cabin in the woods that is heated by a wood burning stove. When we first bought the place I used to wake up early and build a roaring fire to make it nice and cozy for my wife when she got up. I noticed that many times she would get out of bed grab coffee and go straight outside without saying a word. I used to wonder if I had said or done something the night before that upset her. She would say everything was fine and not to worry she just needed a minute. One morning we were a little low on wood so I got up and built a small fire with the choice pieces of oak and maple that were left because I new that it would burn longer. That morning when my wife woke up much to my surprise she asked me to bring her coffee to bed and invited me in to help warm her up. Needless to say we no longer had roaring fires!

I've often wondered if LOVE is supposed to be forever. I think there are levels of love, and seasons of love, and fleeting love. There are couples who choose to create their family in love couples who come together in a passionate moment and explore that level of love, and two people who have a fleeting moment but that is no less a form of love. Even if a love can not go a distance it is an expression within the interaction of a shared love.
The heart can love more than one person, in different ways or extremes and for different amounts of times or seasons. I think we still can be grateful for the experience no matter how long or briefly we feel that love.

And, OH! That search...and where it takes us. This is me. Yes, cities have always been my PLACE (I wish sometimes I was a country mouse.). Lucca is my 'city'. And, my place. And while I have little in common with the provinciality of its history or vibe, it makes no difference because I am an outsider who found her place. (I do not believe I would like to live in a town this small in the U.S., where I am from.) But I can do it here. This is it. Thank you for the share. (The love angle is interesting, especially when I was younger-I am here 23 years and have not dated Italian men. I am a super lean-in woman and was rarely interested in caring for someone's needs. 'Partnership' is more my vibe and I am not a family girl-I liked being in a couple and making our home-the extra family thing is not for me and here, family is very central. In my life, I had a few loves and one great one and feel lucky about that. It all ended. Now, there is so much I can do solo and being single is so liberating. For those wishing for love, I hope they find it.) I am a romantic, but more about life...Rousseauian , if you will. See you here...S

As a life-long New Yorker (Italian-American) I found this conversation very interesting. I did end up finding my love here, but he is from Italy. We found each other later in life, a mixture of luck and perseverance, I think! I don't know if New Yorkers are cold exactly, but I do feel that in Italy there is a greater appreciation for human connection. Here we are always rushing from one thing to the next, it's almost as if you have to squeeze people into your life. That being said my best friend from when I was five years old is still my best friend 40 years later, so can't be all bad 😊

Great topic today and very touching for me! I madly fell in love with an Italian guy in the summer of 2020 but he wasn’t interested in a real relationship and it broke my heart! I haven’t seen him in almost 2 years and I am still stuck there 😔! Not sure how I’ll get over that passion or whatever that was! Maybe a new love will help or I don’t know what as I tried everything! Love can be amazing but if with the wrong person can become a nightmare! I still hope that I will have a happy ending with someone one day as I feel ready for something real with a kind man! Enough with this cos I’m starting to get emotional! Wonderful video Kylie, Lulu is such a wise girl, great chat! See you on your next one! Much love! Xxx

on this topic of passionate love... talking from the perspective of a woman in her 40s who now has 2 kids and a broken marriage with a very fiery Spanish/French... NO WAY passion does not last AT ALL!!! and it's very important that people must believe that it dies. If you don't have a comfortable respectful and calm relationship where you are only together because of your shared values and respect nothing will be left over when the passion dies... just a tonne of bad memories of arguments as it crumbled. things that stand the test of time are not based on high intense emotions... it is all about how strong your foundations are and the quality of your building material, imagine it like building a house...
