  • Hiking to the beautiful Natural Bridge outside hayfork CA. At 150 long and 30 feet high, this natural limestone bridge was formed long ago by water running under it. The bridge is infamously known for the massacre of the Wintu Indians in 1852 as it was used as a lookout to spot the Indian camp. The area leading out to the area is very well known for its numerous legal and illegal marijuana grows. And a great example of a tree that burned inside during a forest fire and is hollowed out!

Cool place. Sad story. Happy we as humans have evolved to not be so brutal.
