At The Container Guy, we are constantly developing new products and engineering practices. We know how to convert sea containers without compromising the integrity of the structure. This channel will take you along as we convert Conex boxes for our clients and show you the proper way to install accessories.
We also hope to provide the shipping container home and tiny home following great tips on how to modify sea cans properly so you don't make the same mistakes I have!
Our company is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Although we cannot modify shipping containers for everyone, our available products can be sent anywhere in North America. These products and designs are forever changing. Be sure to check our website to keep up to date on the most recent versions.

props to container guy ... love seeing the channel grow and do some out of the box stuff
Thank you! Appreciate the support / shares.
RACHEL!!!! I’m dying man. Nailed it!!!
I hauled 1 of the containers to Hacksmith in Ontario.
Cant wait to watch this video with my Grandson Grayson.
Interesting fact Grayson is Robin's original name.
You did! Thanks Brent. Check out their video as well: czcams.com/video/0LcFmLWsmgw/video.htmlsi=bnenJBLdTq3c-8c0
Checked it out.
Very Cool!!!
Thanks Warner Brothers for sponsoring this video!
Pretty cool way to promote the brand tbh.
Im Here Early Still , Had To Pause The Other Vid For Continuity . Great Content Guys !!!!
Haha that's awesome 😎. You're one of those persons that gets MAD if someone spoils a movie I'm guessing?
develop one with enough support so it can be put under a few feet of topsoil. Obviously a few things would need to change in the design but it might be an affordable way for people to get into an underground shelter, perhaps even in their back yards.
Containers: fabulous for every build above ground, disaster underground. Can it be done: YES. is it cost effected NO. Google: 10-12' galvanized steel pipe or 8-10' concrete box culvert if you have alot of $$$...
Colin Furze welded sheet steel up as corridors in a dug dirt tunnel, then poured concrete over the assembly between the dirt and steel. Works. Don't see why it wouldn't on a container. The container would act as a inner form.
As I recall, you might need steel sheets to reinforce the top against the weight of the concrete.
Good job for u, been watching both channels. Its like the worlds collided
fingers crossed this video blows up!
🤞🤞 Not looking good so far haha. Appreciate your support. Need to share it on batman and video game forums maybe.
I can't tell you how impressed I am with the amount of thought you put into every process and detail. 👏
I'm equally impressed with your Name/Handle BigNicNRG. 😂 makes me laugh every time. Genius
🤣thanks bud...much appreciated
That's the coolest Batcave ever
Amazing 🤩
Thank you! Cheers!
You guys deserve it;The Batcave looks phenomenal
Hard work pays off. Great work on bat-cave , excellent video work.🎉
Insanely cool. What is your process to paint over your galvanized door/frame? I would love to have a door just like that in my can.
You can etch galv by simply wiping it with vinegar. We were trying lots of things then realized the answer was sooo simple!
Very cool...
this project makes me wish i didn't live in an apartment so i could have a cool Container project
🎉🎉 🦇
Super cool. Keep it up.
Thanks, will do!
Curious if you'll ever done a double wide 40ft and end to end all together? That would be huge having a 16ft x 80ft structure
❤❤
hats off to u guys!! great foundation for the hacksmith team
Thanks for watching!
this is sick!
Sick builds
Should have let me design it. I do this all the time.
If i become a millionaire, ill legit have you guys build dozens of these around the country, lol. The final product looks epic!!!
Awesome guys😁
Thanks Bruce! 🦇🎥
bro deserves much more attention
Guys, I think this video MIGHT be sponsored by Warner Bros. Discovery. I'm not certain yet, I'll have to get back to you on that.
Must be disclosed every 5 minutes.
I learned somethin!
will u sell those vents separately and if so how much. I want one just because i am a batman fan!
Just curious, if you were to over tighten a screw and tear out the threads, say for the door hinges, what would your remedy be?
tap n re thread
GET THA BAT!😂
i did the 182 like
😎 Thanks
IE The ultimate Man Cave!
What pants are you wearing?
Unless these containers are free the math doesn't work. For the expense to bring them to some usable status you could just buy the sheet metal. Then you have something that exactly fits your purpose.
Don't underestimate engineering time and proven concept. you CAN build your own sheet metal structure.. but will it hold up to time? Is it intrinsically safe? Will you botch it and have to start again? A shipping container is a known product with repeatable results.
@@battlewrathgaming5047You say that at the exact time you underestimate the engineering time that it requires to repurpose used shipping containers where most times there are no codes or established construction methods to follow. I've looked at this six ways to Sunday trying to find the advantage. All these YT channels sporting these shipping container projects yet I've yet to see any proof their concept for cost effectiveness. If you have an example I'd like to see it.
One other thing to ponder, with the welding robots and fabrication technology that we have these days, I'm even wondering if shipping containers themselves couldn't be made cheaper than what they have coming from China.
I wouldn't say anything but I keep stumbling on this subject and see young men wasting their time and talent when they could be going straight to the jugular with innovative design and construction projects. These China shipping containers that are used beyond their purpose probably need to go to the shredder. I'm ok with being wrong about that.
That's why you don't get a used shipping container but a new one. If I buy 8 of them and put them in the shape of an octagon and cut the inside walls of that octagon out and then roof the open space in the middle. The square footage and amount of time to build compared to anything else cannot be beaten. And price still wins out bar none. You wanna talk about math what about logic included. I can buy a 40ft new container for $4200. Go take the time to sit down and engineer a structure. Time is money so that may take a little bit of time. Then take more time and money to get the supplies to build your structure. Then take time(labor) to build your structure and see how cost effective that is. While you're doing that I will already be on another project making more money. It's a hard concept for some to grasp but trying to save money sometimes ends up taking a lot more time and labor costing you more in the final outcome. Yes shipping containers are double in price what they use to be thanks to the fake virus but so is everything else so it's all relative.
@@virgilroberson577How much labor are you figuring for cutting out the inside walls? I'm thinking you need to figure 1 hour per 10 foot of cutting. So that is minimum 2 days labor cutting for just cutting up one of those containers. Then you add in labor for stripping and painting. By the time you have purchased the containers you could have purchased your galvanized metal frame and sided it with off the shelf metal siding.
I was considering doing something similar except backwards. Similar except in that the one side became the wall and the deck of the shipping container became a covered wrap around covered porch mounted on a concrete slap. The trouble there was the cost of the container plus the cost to cut out the one wall was more than just building a porch with deck wood and metal roofing.
I've been working on ideas and watching YT videos for inspiration. So far most everything I've seen could be built cheaper using traditional building techniques.
@@vote4republicans2024 1 hour per 10 foot? what are you cutting with a jigsaw or a reciprocating saw ? I see all the people on the vids doing just that and obviously they don't know what they are doing but I timed at less than 30 seconds per foot so a total of 5 minutes for 10ft . It took me roughly a little over 30 minutes to blow out a whole side panel. Is that labor well yeah but not that much. So for me I have a structure that's all already built and waterproof and for the cost I just can't see how you can beat it . Have you not seen what materials cost these days? it's absolutely crazy.
Do you ever show any installed or just you throwing in a few screws in your yard?
bro sponsored warner brothers discovery 7 times in 27 min. video

@@TheContainerGuyTV i dont think that you need to sponsor so much😅
@@user-yd4bj5fd1u it is in the contract lol, they can't really chose not to
@@TheContainerGuyTV are you sure you need to say it? displaying it wasn't enough?
Your powder coater should be wearing ppe when doing pretreatment, thoes chemicals can be very harmful especially acid etch and if you’re using chromate
