Nice. Angled back headstock too. I'm all for it. Would love if they did a 24 fret Jackson Dinky style model. I'm gonna go check their site after this video.

It may be a great product, but when you place your 50% deposit, and they give you a date they will fulfill it, then miss it twice and never call you to tell you they're going to miss it... one tends to lose trust. Sorry, this has been my experience with KLOS.

$600 for a replacement neck seems a little steep for me. Great concept and design but think I’ll hold off until a 24 fret model is released. Also, $100 just to REMOVE their logo? C’mon folks…

Im a believer of carbon fiber guitars, especially the neck. I have a a acoustic full carbon fiber/composite and I refuse to get rid of it cause its been a real awesome guitar...However, I agree on the price! For $200 more you could have a full carbon fiber guitar! So the neck price is way off! Also, the price to REMOVE their sticker? Really? I imagine feedback like this will drive prices down and being able to get a brandless neck for no additional cost will be around the bend soon or they lose business as I see it.

You clearly don’t know what Fender charges for a “naked” neck that doesn’t come with tuners, doesn’t come with a nut, and gives you all the benefits of bidirectional carbon fiber (not the cheap composite “CF” that is powdered CF mixed into a mostly resin mixture aka plastic that is very susceptible to breakage and shattering with little to no effort - and no repairability). And let’s not forget the part that you’ll never need to worry about warping, breaking, screws coming loose, tuning stability, etc. Go check that Fender neck price again, and then you’ll start to see what a value this KLOS is.

@@jojojojojojojojojojojojobthat’s only true for the cheap Chinese composites because they use ground up bidirectional CF material and mix a bit of that powder into resin (aka plastic). Those are the ones that break and shatter. I can assure you that a guitar made of real deal bidirectional carbon fiber material (just like the kind used for airplanes and aerospace purposes) will never warp, bend, break, shatter, etc. id be happy to give you some quick education on this topic, if you’re interested:
What Chinese Amazon companies try to pass off as carbon fiber barely qualifies as such - and they fully and unethically take advantage of customers not knowing the difference between their cheap plastic composite with real deal bidirectional CF. Musicians need to learn more about the different types of CF just like they become fanatics of understanding wood and other materials used in guitar building - and sadly, most CZcamsrs themselves don’t appear to understand the differences in different types of composite CF’s and the pros/cons of each. The cheaper ones sound lovely, but I’ve heard that they don’t resist heat/humidity well long-term - and worst of all, a teeny innocent bump can cause irreparable cracking/shattering. Even unidirectional CF can fall victim to irreparable damage quite easily if it drops or gets bumped on a weak spot. That will never happen with bidirectional CF in the course of normal use, including if a guitar needs to go in the belly of a plane, in the course of shipping it, if a guitar gets dropped, etc. Go have a look a KLOS’ old CZcams videos where they use their guitar (I think most were filmed using the original hybrid model with the CF reinforced wood neck, btw, which makes some of those videos even more impressive than using a fully bidirectional CF neck) as a canoe oar, take it into a pool, hit a baseball with it, smash it with a hammer, run a 4x4 over it, etc. Each time, the guitar was fully functional with no damage beyond some cosmetic scrapes at the most. It shows you just how strong the bidirectional CF material is. If these same things were done to one of the cheap composite “CF” Amazon guitars, they would have been totally unusable and shattered to bits in some cases.
I did my homework on this material. It’s incredible. KLOS makes it attainable to more people. Get on their email list to watch for sales and Kickstarter announcements with new models at deep discounts. Look for b stock on their site and Reverb or ask if you want something you don’t see. Reach out to them to request a discount - they encourage it! And also look for used models on Reverb or eBay that people sell for less. Consider the hybrid model if you’re not planning on traveling and don’t mind. Above all, work with the KLOS team to make the instrument your own - they’ll customize the instrument to your preferred specs/liking (it’s not full custom shop, but they can do a ton of customizations). You’re not getting cheap crap - and they even back their products (including their silent amp cable!) with a lifetime warranty against defects. You won’t get that from many major brands made of wood let alone the Amazon composite brands. It’s a no-brainer to buy from KLOS. They have dealers where you can try them out or you can return/exchange for up to 30 days (I think it’s 30).
I don’t have one of these necks, but I own one of the first full sized acoustic Hybrid Deluxe models with a CF reinforced wood neck that was gifted to me by my mom before she passed while the company ran a Kickstarter to raise money for production in 2017. I’ve had the guitar since 2018 and it’s been played nearly every day since March 2019. It’s my only guitar. I also have one of their silent cables. I speak from personal experience with one of their first full sized acoustic guitars made, and they’ve made the guitar designs even more robust and better since I got mine. I’m extremely happy with my KLOS guitar and cable.
