I had a quick look at the tv programme and there were a number of elements that lead me to believe it is not an original George 1 frame. The animal heads are from around 1700 but the Prince of Wales feathers are Georgian and at that are quite clumpy A characteristic not often used to describe John Belchier designs.. The basket and flowers is an obvious no no being from around 1740 and also the drapes at the sides. Belchier would never have used a basket as a centrepiece and the drapes are associated with architectural frames of the George II period The carving is not sharp enough and the mirror plate untarnished and clear as it appears, is most likely early 20th century. So due to the mismatch of styles its either its from then or at earliest mid 19th century.
