2^(m + n - n) - 2^(n) = 28
2^(n + m - n) - 2^(n) = 28
[2^(n) * 2^(m - n)] - 2^(n) = 28
2^(n) * [2^(m - n) - 1] = 28
2^(n) * [2^(m - n) - 1] = 4 * 7
2^(n) * [2^(m - n) - 1] = 2^(2) * 7 → by identification
n = 2
2^(m - n) - 1 = 7
2^(m - n) = 8
2^(m - n) = 2^(3)
m - n = 3
m = 3 + n → recall: n = 2
m = 5
