I characterised both injuries as"blessings in disguise" because Joshua is also benefitting from the rest that he got, given his punishing style of play. Couldn't be better. A huge factor in the game was the penalty killing.

21 years to the date the canucks beat the blues in game 7 to win their first playoff series since 95. I was there in the building for that moment of pure ecstasy, only it for it to be destroyed a few weeks later. I was never the same...

Filip Forsberg gets to play with Nyquist and O'Reilly. Pettersson has to play with Hoglander (first ever 20 goal season) and Ilya Mikheyev. Pettersson is not a Ryan Kesler type power forward who can carry a line solo. Are we really surprised at this reduction in 5v5 scoring? He needs to hit the net on the PP though. No excuse there.
