    Puzzler and Lelanders remind me of Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf aka "Baghdad Bob". For those of you too young to remember the 2003 invasion of Iraq, he was the Iraqi "Minister of Information" who was regularly putting out broadcasts to the tune of "We're beating those American infidels!", even as the regime he was serving was crumbling down around him.

June will be here Saturday, and the last we heard from Mustache McGee was something to the tune of "We haven't been given the source code yet and it's gonna take us three weeks to convert it after we get it!" I'm certain that he's gonna use "We're in a period of rebranding everything!" as an excuse they can get several months of delays out of, at least!

    The Intellivision brand is in far better hands with Atari at this point. For all their faults, Atari does know that what makes the brand valuable is the nostalgia behind it, and I don’t think they would’ve acquired Intellivision to trash its nostalgia. I think they’re in a far better position to capitalize on that and do some pretty neat things with it. As for the Amico, I hate to say it but what value the Amico had was directly linked to the Intellivision brand. The Amico has always been the promise of the Intellivision come back to life. Without the brand, the Amico isn’t really all that different from, say, Evercade, which when it comes to cartridge-based retro systems was first in and best-dressed. It’s not a far stretch to assume the Amico brand is on life support at best, and dead altogether is a safer bet.

      @thenosweargamer1449  Před 22 dny +3

      Since a lot of money was crowdfunded, it would either take Republic to sue them, which I don't see happening, or a single rich investor ,or a group of investors to come together to pay the legal fees to get the ball rolling, which again is unlikely due to the effort and money involved. It would probably cost more than most people invested in the first place, and by the time it went to court, most of the assets might be gone, so even if they won, it may not get them much money.

On the other hand we have people that were making youtube vids smearing , slandering and cyberbullying a company and its employees / investors to earn ad revenue. I doubt I would sign up for another kickstarter or pre-order... On the classic side, I think Atari buying them is perfect! I agree with you on the Intellivision +.. I don't see it happening.. That way they don't have to lift a finger. They'll just sit back licensing out to anyone that'll produce a plug & play systems while they collect those royalties while DCMA emulation sites like Nintendo does.
