They asked him to give an example to back up his claims...and when he was calmly trying to state his case...they almost immediately tried to interrupt him. It was disturbing to watch when it originally aired. Republicans were just as disgraceful, hateful and ignorant back than as they are now. It was disgusting and repulsive to see. @fadethetrade The U.S. is the exception. Most modern democracies have at least three powerful multi-issue parties. The United States has two. The three parties tend to be Conservative, Liberal, and Labor. The United States has a neo-conservative party and a status quo party. The majority of Democratic congressmen are Populists and moderates, it's their voters who are liberal.

He was so fucking right. I barely know anything about Zappa, but he was a great musician in his own unique way, and he was very right in this discussion. Sickens me how much they were interrupting him, you can see how scared they are of the truth.
Frank correctly saw what the interjection of religion into government would lead to and, more importantly, had the guts to speak about it. The message is still relevant today; keep your religion OUT of government.
