Good job. I like that you keep it clean.

I was taught to fill the filter before installing it. Always have, always will.

Thank you, so far the best that I have seen on YT for a L5P oil change. I am about to do mine for the first time, but will be using Amsoil full synthetic w/ Amsoil filter. Do you see any issues with that? I know a lot use the ACdelco filter.

I don't see you having any issues, that's really good oil!

Interested to know where the oil leak was from. Did you find the source of the issue? Thank for sharing.

@@jponyboyace mine is a 2024 and leaked straight from the dealership after 3 months at the dealer it was fixed. The oil engine cover was the cause if they keep it past 20 days they have to pay your truck payment

Cummins is a versatile engine. The actual oil change interval in an ISB6.7 is like 25k miles. Ford is used more in heavier duty truck applications too than GM.

Agreed, it would stand to reason the most grit, etc., would come out at the end. If you're going through the trouble of changing the oil, why not wait just a little bit longer for it to fully drain.

This why I don’t trust the tech’s. Still have oil to drain , then overfill. I bet he’s not that careless with his ride

10qts is roughly 10qts. Measurements on fluids are never precise. An ounce or two over or low is normal, plus you should be checking it regularly in your “75k truck”
